So 2 WCs is nothing?2 of their WCs were fake ones in the 1930s![]()

And also you have 1994 where they were incredibly close

We all know what happened when Nigeria didn't qualify in 1978, 1986 and 2022.How the fuck nigeria lost to congo?

Italiy is one of the great footballing nations. So 2 WCs is nothing?

2002 was very strange one. A stacked Netherland team could not qualify. Other strong nations like France, Argentina, Portugal, Italy...all played poorly. Why are people counting the 2002 WC then? That was super controversial officiating.
Italy are usually terrible in playoff. So if they miss it will be nothing new.Think Italy will qualify through playoffs still
But it is shameful what Norway is doing to them. They have Haaland yeah but not some unbeatable NT
That doesn't matter, they're just the qualifying matches. Look at the World Cup: since 2000, there have only been 2 non European winners, including four titles in a row. Europe is by far the most competitive continent. It would be at least as difficult for Argentina to win the European Championship as it is to win the World Cup. And I say that as a European who wanted argentina to win it every world cup😄That's for UEFA to figure it out.
I can't imagine scoreline like that is good football to watch.

I saw the game. It was one of the worst football matches I've ever seen in terms of quality.Congo have a good team, they've also beat Cameroon in previous game.
For me, it does matter as what would be the point of these qualifying matches. Might as well just get rid of them and have a WC every 2 years. That doesn't matter, they're just the qualifying matches. No it is important because there are many teams as good as chile, bolivia, columbia, or something like that who costantly fail to qualify for wc because there are also many good teams. The biggest problem of european quali is that not the direct comparison, but rather the goal difference that counts in case of a tie in points. If that weren't the case, it wouldn't matter if some games ended 10-0.For me, it does matter as what would be the point of these qualifying matches. The point you made of the European team winning 4 consecutive titles is a whole different discussion.
Exactly my point, something needs to change for UEFA qualifiers as GD is too much of a factor in this case.No it is important because there are many teams as good as chile, bolivia, columbia, or something like that who costantly fail to qualify for wc because there are also many good teams. It would be enough to make it like la liga.Should not count goals scored against teams beyond certain FIFA ranking threshold for goal difference purposes.
