I guess I expected them to beat Madrid, but the best EPL team in the last years by far managed to get knocked out 3 times in the last 4 seasons.

Real have been best team in Europe in last 10 years... as said wouldnt expect them to be dominating likes of Real.

EPL teams have knocked out Real in 2 of the last 3 also to be fair and two absolute scuddings at that.

Why did you expect EPL teams to dominate Real?

Then what is the point of spending much more than most clubs in Europe if you end up worse than them?

That's the entire point. There are various factors involved, and money isn't going to give you success when you're up against bigger clubs.

I said opposite you are the one making that claim.

What it is in EPL is called inflation. That's why Tottenham spending 1bn on the squad is not better than Tottenham who spent a lot less years ago.

Because I overrated City. Though that because they won 4 EPLs in a row they'd handle Real who wasn't even that great, but it seems even a struggling Madrid was too hard for them.

It just showed EPL have a lot of work to do. In truth, with the moves Madrid made, worried they'll ran over EPL soon enough.

Lies... you claimed Real and Liverpool were favs for CL after KO draw.

While others said Barca and PSG looked best two.

At least keep up with yourself.

City have a CL and other final appearances to be fair which outweighs what every team in Europe bar Real have done in recent times.

Not last season. But the 3 before. City got knocked out twice in three years. Liverpool got knocked out as well. Fact is Madrid beat the best of EPL too often.

No last season.. you said Liverpool and Real and scoffed at us who said likes of PSG looked very good.

Fact is Real have been best side in Europe across last 10 years.... doenst change a single point made.

So La Liga overall better at the top then no? Who gives a shit about 4-7th place if the best of you is weaker than the best of Spain?

Fucking useless.

Yes. Liverpool and City lost something like 7 times in CL knockouts vs Madrid in the last 4-5 seasons.

1-7, horrible.

Real have been best team in Europe and been beaten a number of times by EPL teams. Two of the last three for example.

Real went out 5-1 to Arsenal and 5-1 to City in two of last three also.

Doesnt make La Liga top teams the best as a whole.

By your logic the French league had the best top teams last season.

Not for me.

They did. By PSG beating those EPL sides. EPL better at non elite level. That's it. Vs elite opponents from other leagues, they lose pretty often. Let's see this season.
