Any you would have to be a bigger idiot to believe winning the league in la Liga is some how not an incredible achievement.

Which is why you are literally the only person to believe that, not even his biggest haters would go that far, it's a dumb point of view to hold, PERIOD.

Because by your logic the only league worth winning is the EPL, and 1 team just won it 4 times in a row and Liverpool only won it because city were poor, so their goes your Atleti only wins when Barca/Madrid are poor line.

If Barca win the CL Malvolio will cope by telling us how awful modern football is.

Constant changing of goal posts.

Used to be about how Barca cant compete and the players are all over rated etc. Now they win and its about how easy it is to win and level of football.

Yeah that is the big question. I mentioned it recently - 2/3 powerhouse teams and weaker below (but still decent). Or very balanced in totality.

A capitalist type vs a socialist type.

Seems impossible to have 2 powerhouse teams and then a lot of really good teams. Just can't find the balance for that.

Other than EPL, which league has better competetion?
Surely not Ligue 1 where PSG overpower everyone, nor Bundesliga where Bayern own it, losing one title in the past 13 years, and total of 7 titles in the past 26 years.
Italian best clubs aren't that much better than Atletico, if any. Napoli squad is inferior to them and the Milan side that won the league is below average. Probably only those Inter sides are any better than Atletico in the league. And their smaller clubs are still far worse than La Liga

Visionary.. the club took out loans to build a stadium it had got to the point had to be done.

It was always happening after Messi left.

It was not about comparing leagues between them, try to keep up. serghei is always harping about how we are doing so great sporting wise under this Laporta regime, like Barca is fearing on missing top 4 or something.

Because we didn't just go 4 years without winning a league title

Because we weren't the laughing stock of Europe for years until we got to the QF and SF in the last two years.

Barca did not get any huge points from conceding 4 at home to PSG to go out the QF.. it isup there with results that had Barca as a 'laughing stock'.

That is after twice failing to get out the CL groups. Going out of Europa League when hammered at home by Frankfurt.. who had thousands of fans there, going out of Europa League to Man Utd.

Barca failed to win the title for x3 seasons.. it sounds better to say 4 years but 3 seasons without a title is the reality.

It is like winning back to back titles and claiming went a year without one.

All of the European underachievement was caused by the fact that we had an extremely young core who rarely played UCL games thus explaining the 2nd UCL group stage exit. The qf exit was just us sabotaging ourselves by getting that stupid red card and the sf exit was us sabotaging ourselves again by going to attack with 3 minutes to go.

Barca had a far better team than likes of Frankfurt and a better team than Man Utd.

Barca were more than good enough to beat PSG.

1. I agree regarding the Frankfurt point, but we did try to come back late in the game and it ended 3-2. This wasn’t helped by our cowardly socios who sold their tickets to the Frankfurt fans and we basically played an away game at home.

2. I do not see that the players really cared for the Europa League, as I didn’t see much motivation in any of their performances against Man United. We didn’t look like we cared, now I am not saying it out of arrogance but I’m simply saying the truth that the players did not care for the Europa League and we basically only focused for the league after the CL elimination.

3. 10v11 against a quick team like PSG is impossible. It simply is, when has team ever won a 10v11 when being 1 man down for 60 minutes in a knockout UCL game. We were the better team when it was 11v11 but unfortunately we got that red card and it wasn’t meant to be. And if you bring me the Benfica game then we can say that we won cause we had experience from the PSG and Monaco games in the past year to finally understand how to handle such a situation.

Almost coming back v Frankfurt saves none of the embarrassment and it was on club letting so many of their fans in which adds to it.

The Europa was important and players knew it. It was important for a lot of reasons.. mainly financial and everyone at club was aware.

It was important to try and avoid yet another humiliation also.

It was important to try and win it and get pot 1 in CL.

Against PSG the red card and collapse is another embarrasment. Barca were still favs to go through at that point and PSG needed to score 3.

Same PSG who went out in next round to Dortmund without scoring.
