I realize he doesn’t have ideal wages for a rotation player (9M gross) who has been injured a good portion of the time but IF he can remain healthy then it’s a no brainer to keep him

On balance though, understandable why he’s being considered for an exit but as he only has a remaining year on his contract - best case scenario is being released on a free to save on his wages but any backup will come with sporting rather than financial limitations to integrate

Yes. And his injury problems are overemphasized. Missed the large portion of last season but otherwise it's not that bad in his entire career.

I am predicting a new contract and more injuries to Inigo than Christensen.

Our playing style is very demanding for the CBs. I hope both Martinez and Christensen will be available for the whole season. It's needed. Maximum sharpness is needed through out the year, so we need to keep the mind and the body fresh with rotations. There's no room for errors with the Flick high line.

That's why we saw a huge dip last season before December I think. After Christmas break we came back strong again.. Roster was too thin and again end of the year we failed because lack of quality backups. You can clearly see pattern that twice our season started failing and it was always because lack of good rotation! Now we have way deeper team, which is a huge positive.

Anyway having four quarterbacks is a must and we have that.
