We have the whole season to see if he fixed his injuries or not. If he didn't then just don't offer him a renewal.

We will never get a similar level quality defender for the salary margin that he would make. They are not capable of selling him so that's not an option anyway.

The dream remains signing a top CB next summer with Christensen’s situation, Inigo’s age and Araujo’s inconsistency.

"Dream" being the key word, I think we'll only be dreaming about signing a top CB anytime soon. We'll also have to buy a ST and LW at least and it looks like it'll be free agents and cheap options next summer also.

Our best hope for now is Cubarsi Christensen duo.

Just try to fix him like we did with Pedri, hope he stays fit this season.

And if, at the end of the season, he is really fit, he gets his 2-year extension, like Inigo.
It would be up to him if he wants to stay or leave. No hard feelings. I am sure, if we offer a contract extension, he would take it happily.

Once we return to Camp Nou we won't have any issues with registrations anymore.

But leaving that, there's two CBs who would improve us considerably IMO and be both a short-term and long-term solution. Konate whose contract runs out in 2026 with RM after him and Saliba whose contract runs out in 2027 and is yet to renew as well.

We need to start positioning ourselves for one of these two.
