It's cool to have a bunch of dribblers but we also need players who want the ball into space. Raphinha and Ferran are those type of players and Fermin too, albeit with lesser pace.
With Raphinha being more central I hope we don't kill the space to run into.
Best would be if Nico could have a Neymar 14/15 esque role with both runs in behind and ball to feet.

Williams was cooking Portugal in the final with his runs. Especially first half.

2nd half was dire. Couldnt even control ball properly.
That half and his performance in first game against NL are only ones that made me go “wow, looks like class player”.

Martinez’ defense was smart to pin the wingers and force Spain to bypass Vitinha - Barça won’t have that limitation building from the back, controlling in the middle of the park or in CF much less both wings
When it works, it will be a step up from what we got to enjoy last season I believe - I think there is room for a lot of improvement in an already high octane offense

Somewhere in the narrative Lucho has to get his credit as well. He launched Nico’s career and eventual synergy with Lamine, call it fate or call it Barcelonismo but Luis Enrique has to be thanked for having had the vision to identify how best to harness Nico’s skillset
Could be blessing in disguise. You know, like last season when we "missed out" on him only for him to completely bomb and have a poor season in otherwise good Bilbao team.

I was thinking the same this morning when I heard they are stomping their feet more. Get over it. Not every player wants to stay.
No longer going to cheer for them after these recent antics.

Don't listen to Bojan.
Athletic scored the least goal of any team in the top 7 and conceded the fewest.
They are a boring ugly defensive side under Valverde, but also TBF had little injuries consistently to there two best players this season Nico & Sancet.
But he won't let facts get in the way of yet another poor take by him.

If we look from their point of view of course they don't want to sell a player to a rival team in the league and would prefer if Nico went to Bayern for example. And also is understandable they want the whole release fee in one piece. Pay the clause and Nico is yours.. I know it makes it difficult for Barca but Bilbao is football club and this is bussiness not charity, I'm sure Barca would do the same in their position so I don't really blame them.. But I have faith in Deco and Laporta, Nico will be Barca player in July.
