Exciting times for the club. I really hope we'll sign a striker. I'm done with Nunez.

I'd love Alvarez but just don't see him wanting to leave Spain to come back so soon to the Premier League. Isak isn't going to happen either. Selling Nunez and Jota would probably give us the money to buy Gyökeres, but I'm a bit wary of his record and just how good he actually is right now. The Portuguese league as a whole is pretty bad.

Alvarez and Isak are unrealistic.

Think it's between Gyokeres, Ekitike and Joao Pedro.

Joao Pedro is really good.

It could be another Jota situation though - signed from a lesser PL club, does well in spurts, but overall doesn't move the needle enough.

Gyökeres is the most exciting name. Ekitike seems more one for the future, although he's a good player now. Joao Pedro doesn't really do anything for me and would probably cost a lot. Don't think he's pulled up any trees for Brighton this season but does have a lot of potential.

I really like Ekitike. There's something very electric and unpredictable about him. Also a very well rounded player closest to Isak in terms of profile. Tall and fast. He's the one for me.

Gyokeres has some major red flags. Why is he in that league at 26? Doesn't feel like an Edwards/FSG signing at all.

I also remember Gyökeres for Coventry in the Championship and never thought he was anything special at all. No doubt he's improved a lot over the last couple of years, but I just don't see him as a guaranteed success the way some others do.

Leverkusen will probably ask for 120-130m in fixed fee + more in add-ons. Now that Bayern are out they won't have to worry about that and can get Liverpool to pay up.

It's not like Liverpool will back out at this stage now

Someone said 150million Euros. He's a huge talent but I am astounded. Liverpool will probably be able to knock it down a few tens of millions.

150 million was the price they wanted from Bayern, as they were the last club they wanted to sell to. It's around 120 million with a chunk of that made up with bonuses. In today's market a perfectly reasonable price for someone of his calibre and talent. There's an element of risk with every signing you make. Nothing is ever guaranteed.

I think it will probably be 120m+ bonuses.
If Pool is able to do less than that, then I will truly be shocked.
