Deco needs to go. He is clearly incompetent as a sporting director.
Yes. Why should we listen to Flick who praised Deco's work highly, when we can listen to raskolnikov from barca forum. Who cares, that this season's success was only possible because of Deco's work to restructure the physical team and bring in absolute experts to Flick's delight, who is known to have high standards.
Not to forget, that it was Deco's decision to trust Flick to begin with. Laporta would have never signed Flick without Deco's approval.

Some people are just ungrateful fools calling themselves fans.

🚨 Barça director Deco on goalkeepers: “The idea is for Ter Stegen and Szczesny to continue”.

“It’s true, if you think about next year or two, we would have to look for another keeper. We have talented keepers at La Masia too, we could give them chances”, told RAC1.

From Romano. Since most barca twitter accounts are terrible in translation

Lookman wants to take even every penalty himself while sucking at them. (Atalanta coaches words not mine :D)
Gasperini said that out of anger after the Brugge loss and Lookman missed pen, that he is one of the worst pen takers ever and he shouldn't have taken it.

But Lookman then explained that the designated pk taker (don't know it was probably CDK) told him to take it.

Lookman is a very humble guy, trust me. Wouldn't make problems sitting on the bench.

And I actually doubt "sitting on the bench" is an accurate description of his eventual role in Barça. The schedule is unbelievable, players need rest. He will inevitably get a very, very high number of minutes.

Keep those thoughts when he makes those Barto type transfers and tanks the club further into a financial mess. Look I liked the guy as a player but this isnt a light issue it is important and has a huge impact. As we have seen time and time again. Transfer policy makes or breaks clubs.

Those are the positives. You have not listed the negatives.

He's class, and Price has come down, could get him for around 60-70.

Who ever signs him will be getting a bargain
A person from Nigerian football Twitter said that we might be looking into him this summer.
Later deleted the tweet. But they barely ever write about Barca transfers.

I have my hopes up a bit. lol

If we had a CL final next year I have full confidence in almost any pair of CBs we can play to do well, if they aren't left hopelessly exposed.

Martinez Cubarsi
Araujo Christensen
Cubarsi Christensen
Araujo Martinez

So and and so forth.

Maybe 3-4 teams in Europe has betrer CBs that us, not than many top CBs running around top teams these days.

Liverpool and arsenal have some, after that I'm struggling, inter as well, but that's mainly down to the back 3.

Liverpool are top heavy, after the starting pair, the quality falls off, so we are left with arsenal who have signed nothing but defenders for 6 decades now lol.

City nothing to write him about, Bayern same, Madrid same, will see how they look with Dean and injured players coming back, but back 3 will save them more than anything else.

If I was deco, as I've said before CBs wouldn't be my priority, so I'm glad he agrees, fans just like to over react without looking at things objectively, personnel isn't the problem there, system is, once we make adjustments we should be fine.

At LB we need someone better than Martin, but I can't fight flick for rating Martin, even if I don't.
Araujo? No thx. Bye bye CL.

You conveniently left out the part where he's first responsible for this year's success and how Flick highly praises his work. But I understand, such small things like winning the domestic treble don't suit your impeccable logic of Deco being incompetent.

We'll see how good or bad Deco is after the end of his transfer window, or the next.
At the end of the period Deco needs to be judged based on who he signed but also who he didn’t sign.

Plenty of opportunities in this market that other clubs have used.

We’ll see what he does.

Yes, but it depends I guess.
If he'll have to sweat to register a 50m signing again this summer then it's tough to properly judge him.

Deco should be sacked the day he signed Vitor Roque, because they bought player for massive fee who obviously was not even close to Barca lvl.

I don't think so personally. We have to be able to spend without registering issues to properly judge Deco.

That was a deal between Laporta and that Cury fellow. No chance we sell Roque for that much unless it was some pre arranged situation. We didn't really sign Vitor Roque for real.

We probably were not convinced and then the position from the other side was something like, "buy him for X and if he doesn't work out, we can easily make a deal for you to get your money back".

It's not a real transfer.
