What should the club prioritize

Last season it was disaster and we spemt 60mil on Olmo.

We are in better shape with better FFP, with players wanting to come here after domestic treble.

They renewed some contracts, and if do same for De Jong it will be even better.

My only concern on transfer window is Deco, will he be ruthlessly efficient & rapid or outmaneuvered by clubs that would otherwise have no chance of doing so when Barça is interested

He’s taken too many Ls on the job for a club like ours to continue with the responsibility, so I believe pressure is on to deliver. And without many of the FFP restrictions that could be used as an excuse, an opportunity to demonstrate your expertise for the role

His hands were pretty much tied until now (and probably will still be this coming TW). He's shown good eye for talent and made some shrewd signings for the B team too.

Give him 100m, lock Laporta to @Messigician basement for three months so he won't meddle into transfers and I'm sure Deco would do a good job. He's the only person at this club that I trust knows what he's doing (until proven otherwise).

Had a dream the other day that our offensive signing was Yeremay from Deportivo.

Heard it here first guys.

Wouldn't be the worst idea for affordable price but surely PL teams will outbid us.

Still think it's a shame we missed out on Antonito.

I would only contest he has to prove it to begin with, that hasn’t been accomplished. He has renewed contracts of players already at the club or Masia while also having had high profile last minute failures with targets

Now, I believe the FFP handcuff will not be an issue for this window and that we’ll see whether he is up to the task. Especially now, targets will already lean towards Barça so only an amateur will get outmaneuvered in sealing a deal

Done some digging and we were linked again to Yeremay a few days ago. Articles say he turned down Chelsea for Barca move. This one might actually have legs.

Agreed on Antonio. Perhaps the club see Yeremay as more of a reality than project and better profile?

Those reports about turning down Chelsea waiting for Barca were from January or something new?

Yeremay is a more developed player (understandable as four years older) but also unproven above a Segunda level so far from guaranteed to be a success. Is that worth a potential 20m difference in price? Tbf they are both projects with somewhat similar ceilling (I'd say a useful squad player for a few years until we find someone better) but Yeremay's floor is probably a bit higher because he already is what he is while Antonito will still need to develop. And from that standpoint he wouldn't get enough minutes he would need to develop here with Yamal and Raphinha in front of him. Wonder what plans Newcastle has for him but wouldn't be surprised to see him playing on loan in La Liga next season.

Difference between Cordero and Yeremay is that Cordero doesn't look like a winger, he seems distant to be that LM/AM type like Baena, D.Suarez or Molero. Yeremay OTOH is true winger.

It seems like Como wants him btw

David Mella is a player like more than both btw, but plays as left footed RW.

The link? I can see it.

Here’s the text: Victor Osimhen (26) and Viktor Gyökeres (26) are both thought to be available for about £60m, reports bbc

Yeah, it is working now.

This was a bit known though, Osmihen price was never the problem but his demands. Gyökeres was said to have a gentlemen agreement with Sporting too

His demands weren't that astronomical, Chelsea tried to pay him much less than Napoli ffs - according to reports Oshi' has a 12M wage demand, Torres is at 10M lol and Lewa on over 30M. 12M for a "star" striker isn't much at all.

Anyway, if Lewa stays (and we need a fucking miracle for him to pack his bags) we won't sign a striker this summer . But we really need an RW backup - I don't like the reports we're looking for a LW. Raphinha is better on LW than RW and than we have to right-footed players in for example Fermin who can be backup. If Yamal gets injured we're screwed...

Then we will have to look for a LW backup aswell. When are we resting Raph. Or if he gets injured, our RW is fucked aswell.
With our finances, won't it be more sensible to look for an LW which in turn enables Raph on RW, giving Yamal rest? And we save money aswell.

Milan in a shit hole right now, even in the Cup final, Leao was their only bright spark, making something happen, but otherwise they're shit.

With likely no European football at all for them next season now, I don't see players like Leao and T. Hernandez staying. Reijnders as well has a lot of admirers.

Now if they'd also need the money and would take in the range of 50-60M for Leao, that's another question altogether, but at that price he might be worth the punt. I'd imagine he'd take considerably lower wages that Nico.
