Xavi is very satisfied with the performance of the heavyweights in the squad, especially Piqu? and Busquets, and has no intention of changing his roadmap between now and the end of next season. [as]

Some of barcaforum on suicide watch after hearing this news

Honestly it feels like people on here just want to play the youngest squad rather than the best one.

Fati Torres Abde
Pedri FDJ Gavi
Balde Garcia Araujo Dest
Mats

And this isn't the way to achieving success

Xavi seem more like the Man Utd version of LvG than Pep Guardiola

Yeah, I think if Xavi doesn't work, this legitimizes Pep Guardiola as a one-of-a-kind football genius, same as Cruyff really. It simply means that the influence of Guardiola on that Barca team is even higher than anticipated, even if everybody refers to that side as Pep Barca.

And I do agree with the current that the style is not worth pursuing without truly visionary managers. The problem is these managers come about maybe once every 30-40 years.

Guardiola needs to win a CL outside Barca (more specifically without Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Alves) to validate himself as a once in 30-40 years kind of manager (which basically translates to what, top 3 all time?). His return at Bayern/City with the resources he's had has been poor.

For me he doesn't, for other fans he does probably. Being 11 points ahead in the Premier League with the last 2 full CL winners as his rivals is something only Pep can do.

Yeah, but as good as dominance in a tough league is, the most memorable moments come with CL magic/domination. Even today, Pep's 2 CLs beating another GOAT tier manager in SAF in such a convincing fashion is what majority of his mystique is.

Also, he's flamed out in spectacular fashion in CLs, which he should be docked points for. You simply can't choke v Lyon, Monaco, Spurs in CL. And the way he lost v Chelsea was meh. Liverpool, MSN Barca, RM I can excuse him for. AM is 50-50.

Monaco was in his first season, new league, new players, completely different philosophy than what City players were used to. Lyon was that fucked up Covid season, that played a huge role because before he knocked out Zidane's Madrid with two wins. Tottenham is a bad one, I agree, his worst. And last season, yeah, should have won the final, but it's still a final, and he took out PSG in the semis in a clear fashion.

I think Pep is now going to rack up semis, finals, and maybe even a win if he stays. The team is really performing at a very high level for about 1.5 years.

Besides, we need him to do it so that Bayern and Liverpool don't win their 7th.

I'm currently not a fan of the way he's treating Dest as a scapegoat. Sure Dest hasn't been great but it's laughable he thinks a 38-year-old Alves and Mingueza are the answer, one is old can't even make runs consistently on the overlap anymore and the other has been playing like a Segunda player all season long.

Alba, Alves, Pique, Busi, Ter Stegen, Lenglet, Umtiti, etc perhaps the worst set of Veterans out of all the top teams out there. All either old, crocked and no longer good enough to be starters.

I agree, don't like it either. It brings nothing good. Even if you start Alves, the guy can't carry on for more than 45-60 mins at a top level. You still need Dest to play consistently.

Dest is at least worth a try at left back given how bad Alba has been this season. He looks better there than at right back for the USA. The American Cancelo?

You didn't read a line of what I posted.
FDJ can't play DM, it is well documented from people who understand the sport (you are obviously not in the category)
Get over it!

Formation also can't change under Xavi, as Xavi always wants a pivot with Busi characteristics.
So you want another coach, admit it
don't play hide and seek here

FDJ can play DM and can provide many of the things Busquets cant as legs are gone.

You dont have a clue as usual.

Seen all your stats for likes of Dest, Semedo, Arthur, Mingueza, Braithwaite, Depay when trying to claim they were playing well and I disagreed.

Maybe you will be right one of these times. Stick at it.

Formation can change if Xavi wont change that is on him but regardless FDJ should be given more time at DM.

So much, coming from you, one of the biggest supporters of Xavi here the last 2 years and more.
Your patience ran out in just 2 months!

I don't exactly agree, but if you are sincere in what you write, you owe everyone here an apology

No he can't play DM as Ten Haag, who has tons more football expertise than you and has coached him, said.
No point in arguing with you. You don't even converse.
Go talk to your mirror.
Bye bye
