For Xavi to take the job, Koeman would have to agree to leave without prohibitive financial penalties - we know the result. Bartomeu & Rosell's decade of decimation was littered with escalating penalty clauses to mitigate anyone sensible trying to undo them - yet another gift of that despotic reign of terror
No one in their right mind would be daft enough to suggest that Xavi, who has been coaching a senior professional team (Successfully, I might add), to take a step down to coach youth players (Even those at Barca B). Pep & Lucho's first coaching jobs were in La Masia under Laporta but Xavi has already been coaching at the senior level

I hate Xavis attitude. Most of the coaches started with B team.

Maybe you should take your own advice.
Since this is coming from his own mouth , this somewhat confirms the "project" he had with Font in regards to him planning to rely on those "core" players.
Either way him chilling in Qatar waiting for the Barca job reeks of entitlement.

He has the right to start somewhere else, but feeling entitled to have enough "experience" to coach Barca is entitled attitude.
Coaches are either hired after proving themselves somewhere else in a comparable level (where he faces other good coaches in Europe) or being an inside work, where he get promoted (assistant or B team)
He is free to take the 1st approach, he will have offers in Europe.
I have been saying this for a long time, Xavi is the 1st amigo. Nostalgia and having players who carried him in his last years made fans forget about his shortcomings.

And its even worse.
Pique, Suarez and co were just spoiled, entitled they wanted to have their privileges and not get out of their comfort zone.
Xavi is even worse: he is dogmatic on the top of that.
That he interrupted the coach (Tata) to tell him that 'it's not how we do things here' is speaking volumes

Not difficult to imagine it reflects Laporta's own feelings about Xavi.
What about Laporta's own comments about Xavi's inexperience? That nonsense too? People close to Laporta suggest he doesn't want Xavi because he simply doesn't rate his coaching experience in Qatar and how could you blame him?
Al-Sadd might be a professional football team, but coaching a team in Qatar is a joke compared to coaching a European team.
You might disagree, but if Xavi had been coaching a team in let's say the Bundesliga or even Barca B I believe he would be the Barcelona manager right now.

Pep traveled to Mexico to learn from Lillo despite playing under Cruyff. Zidane was an assistant under Ancelotti and took over Castilla.
Xavi meanwhile is busy enjoying the luxurious life and conditions his team are offering him in Doha. I love Xavi, but the more I listen to him the more it sounds like he's expecting to be handed over the reigns instead of working for it like his predecessors did.
