imo, probably because of
-The pandemic
-Some ppl are unaware with MD and Sport being favorable to Barto
-No electronic voting
-Socios are in all around the world
-I think the voting period is only 2 weeks?, not much time to vote with personal and working lives getting in the way I feel.
-Also with home games behind closed doors, it's much harder to get people to vote.

Global support doesn't sound like it should matter. Presumably most socios sitting anywhere even in some hut in Malaysia are at the very least semi-passionate about the club, and would make their way to the post office without much hestitation. I'd like to think someone paying god knows how much into the chest every year for the membership at least knows he has a responsibility here and is aware of the timings. Popularity propaganda spread by MD and Sport shouldn't apply abroad either, not when you have Messi having a public whinge.
No electronic voting is funny. Any future board with integrity should set this up to avoid this predicament when bad board takes over.
That being said Barto taking advantage of all this disorganisation in the process is not surprising at all. In fact, if I was a cunt looking to stay rich, I'd do exactly what he's doing.
The prospect of Laporta being next in line to fix all this stuff is even more amusing.

Per usual you're talking nonsense. More socis voted for this motion in the club's history despite a complete media blackout (Most socis weren't even aware there existed an active motion), the confinement of COVID and no spectators at matches - what this has shown is not only the democracy of the club but that despite all the hurdles they topped a number never achieved before for censure
There is no point from Bartomeu, you're simply used to the facist tactics of the Spanish state to subvert democracy

Why would no spectators at games make a difference to the degree of response?
There is a point and it's precisely that it is a vast minority that cast the vote. Nothing fascist about it and none of the factors you've listed seem like hurdles at all for anyone watching Barcelona play with an active socio mandate. The only relevant hurdle is the lack of ability to vote remotely.

You're talking as if it's supposed to be difficult to keep yourself up to date with the situation. If you're a socio, you pay your dues and you should care for Messi public criticism, and familiarise yourself with the ins and outs of it. It's what you pay for.
What excuse is there for people not knowing the vote is going on in the day of social media where it's impossible to stifle anti-Bartomeu message?

Socios are pathetic. That's what Im saying from the starters. And here we have people trying to make it as if getting 16k signatures out of 110k Catalan based socios (only 30k of 140 total living outside the state), even with Messi denouncement of Barto board, is somehow good...
