Absolutely no chance Laporta would come in and risk pissing off Messi even if had the time to make the changes.

If the reports are correct, Abidal, Planes and Grau are all getting fired tomorrow. So it looks like there will be a new sporting department regardless of elections or not.

Font isn't stupid if he is asking for an immediate election, it means he is ready. He would still have maybe a week in the transfer market, then he will have the January transfer market too. It's important to start the new project soon, it will be gradual. Either way, we shouldn't expect much the next season.

He wouldnt have time to get anything done and not sure he would even want to come in and rock boat like that or run with that as the manifesto.

Result of Font winning elections any time soon would most likely be a season of Pimienta leading the amigos.

Season would be well under way be time he took over if won.

Will still push for elections now even if they dont think it is best idea as need to keep momentum and name in media as pushing for change.

Wasn't the latest poll having Laporta with over 50% and Font with 10% between Socios? You think he can close the gap in couple of weeks?

Either way they will have accounts long before next season and not in time for it to have any impact this summer.

He is very smart man. I personally met the guy briefly and had an offer to work for his company Delta Partners.

Why its a smart move? because he knows Barto/Rosell camp won't win the election now. Laporta isn't ready, poll can say whatever but if he doesn't show up with a solid plan, he will lose too as he did in 2015.

Font will show up with Xavi and a solid financial/sporting plan. Checkmate
