To be fair what Valverde did at Athletic usurps anything Setien has done in his career to this point.
Also he is not saying anything particularly profound tactically in that video.
I wish Qique nothing but the best and all the success in the world here, but let's not build statues for him before he's coached a single match for us.

Could not agree more . I trade laliga title any day for a great combinations football with fast breaks, clever passing and dribling in the box. That is why I like Barca ... not %-football, that is based on analytics in databases, that means cowardly passing 100x vertically or back to CB. ("aka Raki-style")
Yes, maybe we lose some points in the season, but watching our games is fun and entertaining!

I agree, but who really does that? But I understand why this might seem so... because there are some users here that position themselves as pro-EV, which everyone else puts automatically in the pro-QS corner.
In reality both teams and their positions are very close to each other, but because we are here on the internet where usually ppl. do not read and do not WANT to make an effort to understand each other - and just see if there is a chance of logic contradiction, all chat end in a wordy butchery.

He's 60 and has more verve and positivity about him than Valverde could ever imagine.
This just can't be a thing about being new. I am genuinely excited about Setien's Barca.
And yes, results are secondary. I am interested about Barca being Barca again. That football I can enjoy on my weekends again.

Ok remember all the stuff Valverde said when he arrived? It was the exact same thing lmao and EV had a reputation for beautiful attacking football too.
The truth is management just wave a magic wand and make old players who have won everything run like they're young and hungry for success.
I think many people will be in for a rude awakening soon. Setien is much less qualified and regarded than EV when he took over.
