I can. About 4-5 in England only. Madrid, Bayern, PSG. Soon other teams are gonna come ahead of us too as they can spend money on players and Barca can't.

PSG does not even remotely have a better squad than us. Bayern we've been through this, it's just not true either. City and maybe Liverpool have a better squad player for player in england. Madrid has a slightly better squad.

The club should have ditched big team expectations and just went the Dortmund-type road, except you keep the young guns that you develop. For this to function as planned, a lower pressure environment is key.

Instead, the club and the fans pretended the team is much better than it is, comparable to that of the top 5-6 teams lol, without a leg to stand on in reality.

The single biggest thing all top sides have in common is money. Lots of them. To invest and upgrade their squads until they get to the level they want to be. Summer, after summer, after summer. This adds up to many hundreds of millions of overall investments. This is the reason most if not all big sides reach 700m+ squads if you look at the numbers.
That's never going to happen in Barca as the club's president will be in constant pressure to deliver results fast.

MATS/Dimitrievski - GOOD
Kounde/J.Araujo - OK Araujo/Cubarsi - OK Christensen/Inigo - OK to BAD Balde/Cardona - TERRIBLE
FDJ/Ndidi - Gundo/Pedri - OK, still don't have a top DM there
ADM/Yamal - OK Kamada/Gavi - BAD Ferran/Ansu - TERRIBLE
Lewy/Roque - TERRIBLE
EL level squad that. Or get out of CL groups with a bit of luck squad.

Fans can't in one breathe say we have a top squad.

But in the next breathe say how shit our transfer have been.

While not rating pedri and gavi.

So what players make our squad that great?

De Jong and Araujo?

At least the ones who say we have a bad team/squad are consistent.

Go check out the squads of PSG and Bayern, any others that are supposedly better. There's at most 3 squads better than ours. Not because ours is great it's just the crappy state of football at the moment.

True. So many elite teams start key matches with 16-18 year old players that last season played in juvenile levels.

Most of the ones that think we have a top 4-5 squad also overrate our youngsters greatly and undervalue how important mature players in the 23-30 years old bracket are for a team wanting to win titles right now.

No issues, you will get the chance to see this great squad perform under another manager. Some already started to do 180 backflips regarding what should be expected from the new guy. More will follow once Xavi is gone.

Started out with you saying top 5/6, now it's been bumped to 4/5, interesting. Ok go through PSG squad player for player and compare it to ours, then tell me which squad is better. Our squad isn't great, just the competition isn't that high right now.

Expectation on new manager depends on this transfer window, if they have to sell players and sign basically no one then I expect top 3 in league, copa del rey run where early knock out only happens if we face real madrid (not an embarassing 4-0 at home like Xavi got us before), and get through ucl group. We should be able to stamp authority on games where our team is clearly the superior team. A clear style of play with some level of passing/attacking patterns not just give it to RW/LW and hope they cross it to Lewa's head.

I'd expect us to be able to modesty spend 40-60m per season, and be able to push that to 100m ish once were back at Camp Nou.

40-60m is half of Madrid spend and a third of EPL big club spend. With strategic sales this can be pushed up.

But enough to LaLiga challenger and CL outsider each season.

With the biggest asset being a top coach to maximize this.

Terms of free signings. How about Zielinski. He could work in the double pivot.

Decided we don't really need Hermoso considering Chadi is returning and Cubarsi has arrived. While Inigo is here another year.
