This can carry on for hours and hours .

To sum up. I believe your views on zonal defense are old, and not used anymore except in rare occasions.

I try to use the ball and the opponent's moves as reference point which determines the positions each player has to adjust to. Your zonal is strictly space oriented. Guard the space the most, with little changes based on specific situations.

You believe players need to stick to their original positions most and wait for the action to basically get to them before they intervene. I believe players must adjust and stop the action before it becomes dangerous, and they do that by altering their positions to match the ball, the passing options, and the opponent's actions.

You believe you must stick to original, classical positions so when an action will become dangerous you are well equipped to stop it. I believe you have to sacrifice some of that stability to further enhance your chances to block an action before it catches roots and develops into a serious goal threat. To each his own I guess.

Your theory on defence following men out and others cover it no team does that and for good reason.

Every team when defending deep keeps the shape.

If sitting in shape while deep is old.... tell me one team that approach it differently other than man to man marking....

At what point on below video should Pique have realised Semedo was out of position and moved across. When Real had three atacking players lurking as well.

Is this thread for Benzema? or Real M? or Atletico M? I believe, these two teams have their own forums and if you are so interested you can write your thoughts there. People are discussing here Nelson Semedo from FC Barcelona and his future with the club. Arguing with Wolfe is a pure nonsense. He is not Barcelona fan. He is a Troy Horse here.

Don't you mean Trojan horse? And he's made it clear he is a Madrid fan

Horrible. I would take 40m instead of the two. Thoughts?

I dont mind Pjanic that much (though hes uninspired and slow), but Di Sciglio is the stuff of nightmares. More deadweight.

Bullshit. Juve would not offer 2 players and 25 mil.
I would rather pay 25 mil to not take De Sciglio who is something like Lingard,Bentner or Douglas.

Like did these guys just found Zubi's ancient info on Di Sciglio and thought "Wow he seems like a good player" even though it was over 7-8 years ago when the info was relevant.
