This guy is okay for La Liga matches when we are winning but we need to hit the market again for a proper Alves replacement. If he is this oblivious in later stages of the UCL we will be ruthlessly punished.

Like almost any fullback from Portuguese league these days. There's something about them that makes them worse than actual Brazillians.

You lot probably have mental scars from Coentrao lol. Tbf he was a good player, but just completely indisciplined.

Btw isn't he still contracted to you guys?

It's a pity. Because his pace to recover during counter attacks and in general could be vital in CL games, but he can be really bad at times. Whereas Roberto can be bang average, but at least keep a stable level of being average.

Released in the summer.

For real though, can't trust them lot. Almost any one of them that spent a few years in Portugal turns out to not have a brain. Historically they had the likes of Paulo Ferreira, Bosingwa, Coentrao (who was good for about 3-4 years although utterly mental), Danilo and now Semedo. In contrast they always produced close to world class CBs. If you were to make an Iberian national team, that defense would be incredible since Spain historically produced about 3 good CBs in the last 30 years.

Boswinga and Paulo Ferreira were okay players for Chelsea. Danilo was the big flop IMO. Especially since he for one performed so well for Porto in the CL, but still completely flopped. Not even getting much time for Man City nowadays when Walker is rested and all their LBs are out.
