Mikayil Faye

The key might be the feasibility to transition him to LB
With Balde and potentially Cancelo (+Fort) there? Don't think so. The former got written off too fast here - he never had the chance to recover his form due to injuries and was quite excellent the season prior.

The good is that we need 4 wingbacks and with Fort there are 3 with Cancelo & Balde - Faye would be smart to keep due to his immense potential and the unlikely scenario Barca can profit fully this early on him

Still, that FFP margin matters and he will surely turn only profit in a transfer. Like many of you, I would resist prematurely letting go of someone with such incredible potential

He looks a monster player and would be foolish not to evaluate carefully what his Barca future may entail

The smart play is to flog Christensen. His availability is inconsistent and we can't get 90 minutes out of him when he is. Also has not impressed this season at centre back and has a inflated value due to his stint in the EPL.

Would be foolish to sell Faye before giving him a chance in the first team. What if he performs as well as Cubarsi? You've let gold go for the price of bronze.

Christensen might actually be our starting DM next season. Don't think we'll have too much money to throw around.

Xavi is gone. Deco will no doubt consult with Marquez over his ability and potential before deciding to sell.

25m today is good if Faye has a ceiling like Eric Bailly for example. Someone who had top league potential but couldn't sustain it at a top club. Not so good if he ends up worth double and able to slot into the 11 when Araujo inevitably gets injured.

Inigo shouldn't be here on 9m a year. So if we can't register him we should hope Saudi is ready for him.

Also all FFP issues include guys like Ansu, Lenglet, Dest and Eric who need to be sold. This line of salary mass and transfers need to be solved before selling a Faye or something. You don't sell high potential only to be stick with Lenglet who is then encouraged to stay as his agent gets word that there is salary mass at the club to stay, should he refuse to move.

This isn't a smart thing, it is just a day dreaming thing.
Christensen is a 28 years old CB who has an achilles tendinopathy who isn't elite.
Yes, if we can get 50M for him., amazing. But who is going to pay for this? Which club will look t it, and say, oh we missed on this injury prone player when he was available for free, let's pay big money for him?
I mean from sporting perspective, It is ideal to keep everyone but the deadweight. Keep the young players who could turn great, keep our starters, sell the bums and the dead weights and then get a CDM and LW and we are set.

But the reality isn't like that.
-6 players will be automatically unregistered from the first team squad: Alonso, Roberto (free agents), Roque & Fermin (temporarily registered as injury replacements) and Cancelo & Felix (return from loan).
-Only Dest, Fati, Eric & Lenglet are registered as first team squad from the players loaned out. J.Araujo, Torre & Valle aren't.
-we can only use limited number of B players, so we have to register players.

-If we don't get the Libero money, we end the year with massive loss, even if we win CL and Liga, so next year salary cap will be even less, making the chance of ending it without another loss is equal zero to non, and loss in one year will lead to tighter FFP the next one and so on, it is a vicious cycle, and if we don't stop it, even new Stadium won't get us back to 1 to 1 rules and won't stabilize our finances, unless we do a RM and sell a lever from tickets or something like that, hurting our future.
-With the above said, one thing has been consistent about Barca, no matter how bad we think our financial situation is, reality proves to be even worse.
-So, even if we get the Libero money (clock is ticking) we will still need to make sales in order to get to make transfers.

The bottom line, is a sacrifice has to be made, and Barca need to be smart but courage about it, we can't just roll the can another year and make things worse. Sales needs to be made, as Tebas loves to emphasize, and we don't need to make decisions based on "fear to miss out" on a player.
If the club rates Faye as a sure thing, keep him, but otherwise don't turn down good offers because we are afraid from the chance he might turn great.

You don't sell potential future WC players to fix the books, the same people have been saying this since Laporta took over .

Sell
Pedri
Gavi
Yamal

You name it, no club would do that, you have a top potential player you got for peanuts, you don't sell those players to balance the books, you build the team around them for the future.

Every year we can't register players, every year we have manage to improve the squad, whether it be through loans, free signings or buying cash, I think the people who know the actual numbers are thinking just as long term as fans on Barca forum are.

If we need money sell

Raphinha
Torres
De jong
Christensen
Kounde.

Not our young talents, better for them to stay and have a career ending injury like fati, than lose them now, you have to take that chance.

So what is the argument here? We shouldn't sell? Or the club knows better?
What if the club indeed sold some of those players next summer? Will you agree with it? Or is it going to be a mistake?

That we shouldn't sell our best young players, better to sell older players in our squad like the names I listed.

If they sold any of
Faye
Fort
Curbarsi ( obviously they won't)

I would not agree with it.

There is Chadi too who may be able to fetch some transfer income.

Then for those who watch B ( @khaled_a_d ) we have a very interesting loan in Mbacke that we need to consider what to do with. He is better than the likes of Akieme and Marlon who in recent years we made some small sized flicks with.

Alot of moving pieces, though not necessarily the huge amounts of revenue that we may require.
