Jean-Clair Todibo

About comments that we should sell Lenglet:
Pique is done in a year or two.
Umtiti is done due to injuries.
Todibo hasn't played 5 official matches for us.

Lenglet is the only safe bet that he will be here in 2-3 years.

Regarding Todibo, he is young and fast, but hold your horses regarding benching Lenglet.

We don't know anything about Todibo.
He could be as dumb as Dembele or having Wague's wild playstyle where every tackle is on a verge of a red card/breaking someone's leg.

Let's see how Todibo will actually play in official matches.
Lenglet, even though average in lots of things:
1. At least has a nice IQ
2. Is a good professional
3. Isn't murdering opponents in every tackle
4. Is at least playing on his true position
5. Has a lot of experience for his age

Even these 5 points are a mission impossible for more than half of our rooster.

This.
People seriously need to stop the "He can't be worse than player X " argument.
There always worse,way worse.
Todibo is unknown. We need to wait to see him.

Better see him for a few games, or else it's gonna be baptism of fire for him vs Madrid, Dortmund and Inter if Pique or Lenglet get injured. It's stupid to have your 3rd CB with 0 minutes. You never know when you're gonna need him in some big game, and you have to make sure he is ready by then. Playing 0 minutes sure ain't gonna be helping the situation. Should have been rotated already into some games with Lenglet / Pique out.

And the chances of Todibo playing better than Lenglet is are actually pretty good right now, considering Lenglet is one of the worst players in most games so far this season and Pique is not far behind.

is he even going to play today ?

Has to be, he's the only CB in the squad who can play.

What is there to see when he doesn't get a look in? And when he does he gets to play after a long time being on the bench. Instead of giving him a match here and there just for situations like these when starters are suspended or injured, he is thrown right in at the deep end. You'll then see the likes of BBZ a d other Valverde fans talking smack about him if he makes a mistake, completely disregarding any context whatsoever.

Yea, you ain't telling me something new . Like this game. Would've helped for Todibo to not play his first match of the season vs a top Spanish side in a must win game.

Yeah, and it all stems from Valverde's inability to create a system where not only the experienced, proven players can contribute. Valverde only trusts the best and most experienced players to get a result because his whole tactic for winning is having better players than the other team. Fuck collective team play, individualites is where it's at, basically. The less said about his lack of any expertise in developing young players the better.
