Ernesto Valverde - V1

Horatio

You're welcome
People shouldn't get upset about the Valencia result. 1-1 is fair. It only looks bad now because of the preceding results. Had those been better everyone would've accepted a 1-1.

what the fuck your talking about, do you think this is about the result, do you think the Rome game was about the result, no man, its a bout a fucking coach who just stood there doing nothing when every one else in the world saw that there was some thing wrong in our team and should have made changes early in the game, if he had made changes and tried something we would have all accepted it, we had a winning players in our bench, but this stupid coach refused to use them, its the board fault when u leave a guy that just stood there doing nothing when Rome was eating us alive, oh will u would expect games like yesterday happen more and more, this guy just have brain farts and can not function under pressure, he should be fired immediately or we will not win a thing
this year and lose another year of the best player that ever played this game. i just cant stand watching his face any more fuck him

Deers are skittish animals. The list of things they are afraid of is numerous. They're scared of things that are big. They're scared of things that are fast. They're scared of things that are loud. They're scared of things that are bright. So when they see a car speeding towards them, they become paralyzed by fear, and are completely unable to move, resulting in their death.

What we are witnessing with Valverde is likely a similar occurrence.

actually they are much more likely to move INTO a passing car than not avoiding one (roe deer at least). hitting em isn't that rare where I live. they are extremely stupid animals. but your simile doesn't really work there

 If tats what people is upset about, then people wont be upset from the start till now, and even last season. Then had Messi not scored that goal, we would have struggled to even stay afloat. There's no what ifs here. We have looked poor for the most parts and there's no excuse for EV's poor management and utilising the full squad to its potential.

At this point, you gotta think if you are just defending him for the sake of doing so or still stuck in last season, thinking luck can always come into play.

In football, it's all about finding the right balance and having back up gameplans if it's not going to well. Sometimes fielding an XI full of nothing but galacticos may not be a great idea as we see in regards to Madrid for a good number of years in the 00s.

But I see a coach who clearly has no idea what he has in terms of players and how to utilize them. His XI's prove that he relies too much on the old guard of the team while barely making room for newer players unless he absolutely has to like when we lost Nerman and Iniesta decided to leave at the end of the season.

The OG Gala this season was Dembele for Neymar and Coutinho for Iniesta, and the rest was Lucho's old XI from 2016/17 and before. However, we didn't play well and we relied on Coutinho, Messi and even Dembele pulling off a goal and individual brilliance to get us to the finish line but we also had problems with defense.

After a couple of games where things didn't go well which included some rotations, Valverde decided for the Spurs game to roll out a new attempt at a Gala. You had Semedo in for the injured Roberto, you had Lenglet for the injured Umtiti which were expected. But the only new face in the XI was Arthur at the expense of another young newer player in Dembele so Coutinho gets shoved up into the Front line.

For Valverde, in order to make changes to the XI, it always seems to be at the expense of a newer player that was in the XI such as Arthur for Dembele. It's never for an older player such as Rakitic, Pique, Suarez no matter how poorly they perform and cost us games.

It actually amazes me with the Double Standards Valverde implimented in this squad. God forbid a young/new player make mistakes but when it comes to experience vets such as Pique and Rakitic, not performing well and especially in Pique's case who straight up was the biggest culprit for our defensive issues get free passes by the coach.

Man fuck this bullshit.

This is how things run

Even his substitutions.
He will always sub out the newer players regardless of how the older players are doing.

His substitutions always gear towards restoring Gala XI.
So he will remove Semedo and introduce Rakitic so that Roberto goes back to RB,

He will remove Vidal and introduce Busquets.

Among the Gala XI, Coutinho and Dembele are the newer guys so they are the most likely to be subbed out first as well

True, in fact we have made a transfer market in this way: galacticos and without a plan B.
Think that we can play with Dembele, Coutinho, Suarez and Messi together is very sexy, very galacticos, but it's absurd, or better said: very galacticos (=bye bye CL)
totally unbalanced.
Someone still romantically thinks they can play nowadays with Messi as false 9 with Dembele and Coutinho... absurd, I already see
100000 horizontal passes and try to pass in the center against a wall of 11 opponents, the same tactics of the last 10 years.
Plan B ? something new, new ideas ? nothing...

We had an exceptionally large budget at our disposal, a case more unique than rare, and we did a transfer merket without logic and sense !! a joke !
This board (with EV) is responsible and have to be sent at home asap.

Idk why someone would be surprised, after a good win in CL we're back with a mediocre league game. We could've already won la liga by now looking how poor Real is doing but instead we are behind Sevilla who only got 16 points in 8 games themselves.

We all know the team got it in it, the quality is there even if some players might be a bit overrated so we will have some good games but we basically see the same picture since Valverde took over and if he thinks simply benching Dembele is enough to fix our problems it could also end like last year in CL.

Been saying it from the get go, he doesn't read the game or react to it. He has the subs lined up in his head before the match, no matter how the match is going. His whole demeanour and attitude is cautious and that doesn't wash with one of the best clubs in Europe with a host of great players.

He won't learn from mistakes, Rakitic will play every minute, so will Suarez and he'll convince himself we deserve to win anytime we don't.

If Ernie was a basketball coach, he would rather thake timeouts to rest the starting 5, rather than sub any of them.

Valverde says he doesnt read any criticism but he strikes me as the type of guy to read everything posted about him online and take it to heart.
