Champions League

Of course, but they also had Origi and Shaqiri starting. There's no excuse in my eyes tbh Allison or no Allison. Simeone's tactics were great, defend with a defensive team, try hang on for extra time and away goal. Valverde tried to defend the lead with a frail defence and the same midfield that got pretty much dominated at Camp Nou despite the 3-0 scoreline. Barca and defending leads is a recipe for disaster, we're not built for that. Should have played to our strengths and gone attacking, one goal and the tie would have been over, but no.

Agreed, barça usually crumbles if they come under sustained pressure. For Atletico thats their MO.

With the way Leipzig and Atalanta are playing I won't be surprised if they'll be the surprise of the tournament, going all the way to the final and even winning it. I don't count on Barca or City winning it. City might as well bottle it against RM.

Some Michael Owen quotes after the game

"Teams across Europe will breathe a sigh of relief now Liverpool are out”

“Yes they’ve been beaten over two legs and knocked out of Europe but they’re the best team in Europe at the minute”

“Liverpool LITERALLY blew them away”

"Atletico players will be in the dressing saying, how good is that team we've just beat, we've never played anything like that."

Owen is such an idiot

Atleti played and beat prime MSN Barca, prime Real couldn't beat Atleti on their own ground from 2013 till this season in the league, they beat Peps Bayern.

All these teams are two or three times better than this Liverpool, who nobody would even mention if it wasn't for the cuck Valverde and his pussy players Raki, Busi, Alba and Coutinho.

I'm not saying they were wrong. It was their right to be excited but then they expose themselves to be trolled about it. I agree about the fact that PSG players look insecure because they definitely are/were. Even Neymar cried after this game while he has already won the competition with Barça. Neymar who is not known to crumble under pressure. It shows that the atmosphere around PSG is a lot different and that they were very anxious about this game/tie. The last years have put fear in their minds. Even today, Dortmund was toothless and PSG shat the bed in second half.

I'm not exactly the type to enjoy this type of reaction from the players but if this was something important for them to give them a "fighting spirit" and qualify, i'm quite happy.

Seems to be confirmed by the pictures of spanish television, they were quite motivated by the joy and trolling of Dortmund:

They say they need to humiliate the motherfuckers of Dortmund by scoring 6 or 7. Then, when they won, they are saying now the son of bitches of Dortmunbd can celebrate all they want.

And Neymar childish as he was after the 6-1 at Barcelona by posting a message directed to Haaland :

It must be so strange for Liverpool fans. Their season is basically over. The league is won, something they have been trying to achieve for 30 years... yet the whole thing still feels like a bit of a downer.

Think they will be happy just winning the league after such a long time. They won CL last year already and were more disappointed not winning the PL than winning the CL.

Their salt over Atletico win and the way Atletico playstyle is wonderful though.

It Will be anticlimatic because they could of had more. A bit like Ernies first season for us.

But in the end it is exactly what the club has longly desired. The only other thing is that this pandemic has totally taken the shine Away and made the title almost meaningless.

Good thing for them is they had built up such a massive lad and dominated the season through and through that their title will never be tarnished by the Coronavirus. It is not like La Liga or Serie A being close races this year.

Is this reply meant for me? I don't get your point. I agree with what you're saying.

The same way that if we'd scored at Anfield more gaps would have appeared for us to score more, a bit like Bayern 2015 away, that was a real end to end game after we scored. But instead Valverde put a poor version of a defensive team out and tried to defend the lead.

My bad. I think i misread your post. Yes, you're absolutely right. Valverde's defensive setup was utterly useless and we could have easily scored an away goal.

bruuuhhhhh SMH dawgs.....

Atletico beat Liverpool both home and away , away they scored 3 goals after they were down 2-0.

I actually have no words , 6th place in La Liga humiliated the CL winner.

This is madness.
