No matter what happened last season, 2019-2020 should have been the start of a rebuild. Griezmann is a good player but not what we needed. The older players should have been moved and replaced with young talents, even if that meant we wouldn't win anything.
We can't base our whole team around Messi anymore, not if he is surrounded by past their prime seniors. We would be better of if we had a hard working athletic team and let Messi be the difference maker once in a while.
Rakitic, busquets, Vidal, Suarez, Coutinho should have been sold and the money reinvested.
We look like a team dying right now, and it seems it can only get worse.

If Arthur and De Jong would have a top manager to build a proper midfield around them and phase out the veterans, the potential would be that of the best CM-DM duo in the world. They are already top 10 no doubt, but their ceiling is even higher than that.
