No, Flavia. His injuries and age is catching up. He need to play the role Xavi played in 2014-15 from the bench.

He's no Xavi to do that. Even limited minutes, without another big midfielder, won't cut it.

It's sad to see iniesta like this. His time is up, he should have buried his chance. But it's not the iniesta of old, and hasn't been for some time now. Plus it doesn't help when he's playing next to donkeys like Gomes

Enrique expects him to lead an unorganized and unprepared Barca's midfield at 33. Which makes it painful to watch at times, but to say he is finished is ridiculous.

In the right setup, he can still shine, which he has shown time after time.

he needs top quality midfielder next to him,he can't no longer be our main midfielder in transition to attack, just imagine thiago or coutinho who would be responsible to carry the ball into attack while iniesta takes xavi's role, creating from the deep and occasionally joining attack

He would be decent enough with players around him to do his leg work but cant have players to do that for him and Messi it is too much.

Lucho has shown some disastruous gaps in understanding the basis of football. He basically repeated the same mistakes that Galactico Madrid did. Signed superstars in attack and filler in midfield, because the money were spent on big transfer with insane wages, so logically, paying those money for those players meant we had to cut costs in midfield. That's why Kroos for example wasn't signed, but Rakitic was. Rakitic was less expensive and his wages were significantly lower probably.

Football time and time again reminds teams that football is about the team, not about which side has more superstars. It's time to sack the idiots that went this way and bring us back to the drawing board and actually building a team built on some clear foundations.

What? Come on man.
In last 3 summers we only made one Galactico signing in attack and it was Suarez
MATS-Bravo-Cillessen (3 GKs)
In defense Mathieu- Vidal(pseudo-defender) Vermaelen (defender/pseudo-player),Umtiti (defender) Digne(defender) were all signed
In midfield : Arda(pseudo-midfielder/pseudo-winger) Gomes (FML) ,Denis (pseudo-midfielder/pseudo-winger) and Rakitic. Also brough from loan is Rafinha (pseudo-midfielder/pseudo-winger)
Attack: Suarez & Paco

If anything our problem was the execution of our transfers. 4 midfielders signed and one brought back from loan and non only one worked and the other one who has true position is Andre -the fucking legend- Gomes :banghead: others are basically role players at best,we need one of those in each line but we have 3 in one line that has old finished Iniesta and useless Gomes.

We need more players who have a position and actually fit into this team. Lucho has invested too much on versatile players who turned to be tweeners rather than specialists. At least with specialists 1 of two succeeded while tweeners non has been more than decent.

The last two high profile signings were Neymar and Suarez. Both in the attack. We bought filler players in defence & midfield.

RM Galacticos has signed only great attackers. We didn't do that by any mean. Suarez & Neymar was our biggest transfers in past 2 years? yeah and you know what? out of the most expensive 15 players in history they were either attackers or pure AM.
We have invested in all other lines,it is just we didn't do it probably. Too many tweeners and average players

Said it during the chat for Sociedad game it was a joke the way the players reacted to the goals. They all just put their heads down or looked up to the sky there was no one to do what Puyol does and Masch does.

There is not a vocal leader in the team unless Masch is there. Pique isnt and needs to concentrate on his football.

Guess Suárez and MAtS are the two who are destined for being a leader. According to what Masche said after la remontada MAtS showed that sort of leadership already. Problem is that leaders should play in defence or midfield because they are more in the centre of happenings there.
