He was rumoured to us in the past. Looks similar to Pedri to me. Don't think we need him all that much but I'm never against trying to bring a young talent to the club, especially if we can really get him for a rumoured fee. Which I don't really believe with a lot of other big clubs also in for him Rapid will surely want to squeeze the most money out of whoever will buy him. But then again, his contract is expiring next year according to TM so they don't have all that much leverage.

Saul is having a poor season so far (have not been following him much), and reports suggest that he might be on his out to Munich. Coutinho for Saul + $$$?

Coutinho would be of no use for AM. And after what happened with Arda and Griezmann (though I still believe in him) I don't really want another AM player here eventhough I think Saul could be a good fit.

Mentioned him in another thread, I know him pretty well since he's from Bordeaux. Losing him completely fucked the team up last season honestly, and he's be very good this year. But Monaco paid 20M for him so he's not leaving for cheap.

He's a 21yo who's one of the best player of a team that might qualify for UCL next season, and who's been bought for 20M 18 months ago. I think his value will depend on Monaco's qualification to UCL next season, but it'll probably be around 35-40M (they never really sell for cheap anyway, but might be a bit more or a bit less depending on how badly they need cash).

He's not really a Yaya Toure type of player though. He has a lot of room for improvement in the final 3rd of the pitch for example, but he's a beast at getting the ball back, and his passing in well above average.

Can we really afford to gamble on teenagers at this point? The squad consists of grandpas and kids, plus Barca B have some talented players as well, especially midfielders.

Better spend that money elsewhere when we're in this economy.
Unless we end up signing nobody this summer, then I guess then we can spend the few millions we have on players like Yusuf.

All those big clubs surely must see something in him. But then again, it's a relatively cheap gamble for Dortmund, City or United. Not so sure if also for Barca in our current situation though but if they believe we can get another Pedri for cheap then why not?

Also, he was just called up to Austrian senior NT. Could also have to do with them just wanting to guarantee his services before he decides to play for Turkey or something.

As you say a lot of injuries. I don't think a club would take that big of a risk at this point.

Besides, after losing Upamecano, Leipzig will want to keep him. In 2022 he'll have 1 year left on his contract, so will be easier to get. Could do with a full season as a regular.

Just checked, he was out for a whopping 335 days between October 2019 and October 2020 due to torn muscle fibre, wow. That's too bad, I wonder what happened, didn't expect a muscle injury could be that bad.

Not knowing the nature of his muscle fibre injury, to me it is too big of a risk to even consider him.

Upamecano by the way also appears to have a lengthy injury history, something about his knees.
