Lionel Messi - v7

Revolutionized is an exaggeration, but he did well to switch the formation to suit the veterans.

On paper, we had a good defense but teams would have scored a lot more if it wasn't for MATS. That's why we kept saying that Messi and MATS were our best players in that season.

To this day, still don't know why Messi didn't play in that Levante game and played in the friendly in South Africa (still could have played in both games imo).

Didnt need Messi, we put 4 past them. The only reason was fkn Yerry Mina he put in the worst performance out of anyone in history. If people rewatch that game they will cringe at how bad he was

Never said Mina wasn't the problem. He was horrible.

However, if Messi was there, there was a higher chance that we could have scored first and maybe the game would have seen out differently.

This!
Defense was good only for people reading 'soft' stats, and not watching games...
If you just have a look at xG conceded it's shocking how bad the defense was and how everyone was relying on MATS to save the team...

That was a brilliant contribution by Ernie

yet Enrique couldn't be carried by them to a title in 16-17 even with Neymar as well

Enrique won the most dominant treble (statistically) in European football history and then followed that up with a dominant League double.

He's a better manager than EV. That's why EV's sitting at home while Enrique has a serious job.
