Lionel Messi - v7

Not at all. We got so close in 2018 and 2019. With Ernesto and Luis along with happy Leo, we would have a chance against every team.

We did until 19/20 and then you could see the after-effects of Anfield were still there. We started dropping a lot of points but it was pretty pointless to replace Valderde with Setien in January.

The change should have been made in the summer but the board fucked up yet again.

We were good because the other teams were bad. We got close in 2018 ? We didnt even manage to win the quarter final, are you happy because we won against a disaster Chelsea which shot three times against the post ? In 2019 we won against two EL teams (Manu / Lyon) and were destroyed by Liverpool. The 3-0 in the first leg was luck and a genius Messi. I am not saying that it was all Ernesto's fault as our team was never really strong. Busquets and Rakitic were average

I think we'll be forced to sell Messi in January regardless..... and it still sounds like he's had enough with the club.

We should just get what we can in January and move on.
I still wish Bartomeu sold him earlier, at least the team would've been trying to jell right now (not having to wait to do this next season - when Messi is sold)

This forum doesn't know what leadership is. Suarez yelled at Fati and got thrashed.

You think leadership is yelling? You are either being abused by your boss or you are abusing your colleagues unknowingly under the name of leadership. Search the term situational leadership

Happy you got rid, as i believe you would have won the league if you let him finish the season.

This.

Valverde would low diff Zidane in the clasico and Madrid would lose all momentum.

No one in history has a better league clasico record than Valverde 0 losses!

Now we realize that EV's "it is what it is" is the best what any coach could have achieved under dictator Messi and spoiled amigos.

Lord Valverde.

With Pep extending at City, I guess there's 99% chance this is Messi's last season at Barca. I hope people relishes the few moments that are left and not whine over pointless things. A player like Messi will never come again, not in our lifetimes at least.

I'm not 100% against him leaving. But it'll be so bittersweet if he left without having fans at the stadiums.

Xavi had the perfect goodbye, Iniesta close to it. Messi deserves to be sent off with dignity and thoroughly thanked for what he brought to this club.

Let's hope he pushes interim president to leave in January for City, and we sell him, so that Font or Laporta do not have the option to try to convince him to stay.
Rebuilding has already started but it won't go far until Messi makes way..
That's the hard truth
