Happy for PSG.

All future stars will be aware of Prison Saint Germaine that will imprison them even if they pay 20m out of their own pocket.

After Slaves, now Prison ...
What kind of prison pays you 35 millions per year ? What kind of prison does offer you to sign a contract to join it ?

THe future star is already in Paris, he is called Kylian Mbappe, and he is world champion.

It's my friend, it's. Which city has Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Le Louvre, Champs Elysées, Montmartre, Orsay, Saint Michel, the Panthéon, the Grand Palais, Place Vendôme. Versailles Palace at 30 minutes ...

I visited a lot of city in my life, i lived in 6 of them (London, Seoul, Los Angeles, Paris, Rabat, and Roma.) Never found better. There is something special there. Everybody knows it. It's the most visited city in the World.

Maybe Roma can compete in terms of monument and history, but it's much more chaotic city.

Living in Paris for 7 years now, it's the like any big urbane city i visited around the world … which means garbage if you have to stay in it.
Good to visit but not to live in.
Monuments are for tourists not the daily life.

I'd rather live in the likes of Victoria(Canada) or Marrakech (Morocco).

Back on topic Mbappe career will be garbage if he stay in PSG, being a world cup winner will not save it for him in the long run (lol Umtiti is a WC winner)

The so called futur star will stack the farmer league titles and cry for the UCL ones if he stay at Paris.

i dont have any issue with Qatar investing heavily, but not like that !! i mean common players know they are here for the bag of money and don't give a shit about the club who still with no Culture nor identity

Also respectfully, but you are mistaken a bit in assuming that the FIFA FFP-rules are closely related to the sources of most player transactions.
The FIFA (and UEFA) FFP rules were established "to prevent professional football clubs spending more than they earn in the pursuit of success and in doing so getting into financial problems which might threaten their long-term survival".

The rules actually do NOT regulate the club's spending but rather - just as the paragraph says - tries to prevent financial disasters.
Obviously this is not the right place to quote the different sentences from the FFP but the rules(s) might be even relevant in Barca's case if they buy Neymar but the ACTUAL result will always be the same: namely the top rich clubs will always be allowed to buy and sell hyper-expensive players, simply because they will hardly ever spend more compared to their annual revenue.

Let's suppose Barca buys Neymar for 222M (I doubt it will actually happen), the very notion that they have sold the player for the same amount, actually nullifies the rule.

There are two clubs among the top European ones who have unlimited financial background and you exactly know who these clubs are and where the finances are coming from.
It is a MYTH that FIFA or UEFA will ever sanction these rich clubs with the petrol-dollars, because the FFP rules do not forbid sponsorship and the rules do NOT define an actual ceiling for the money received through sponsorship.

Obviously Barca wants to AVOID externally accepting this type of "blood-money" for a single player but believe me there are quite a few billionaires out there, who love football, love Neymar or the type he represents and wouldn't hesitate for a minute to offer it. Not as a profitable business transaction but just as a gift.

If you are in the States you should know that several American football players were solely purchased via private founds given and provided by private Maecenas, and the same stands for basketball, not to even mention hockey players in Canada.

The very same happened to PSG and Neymar, a billionaire has bought a valuable doll that nobody else could afford at that time. No sanctions, no problems because the FFP rules are for a different purpose.

Neymar is one of the best out there but even more importantly he is perhaps the most spectacular one as far as his style is concerned, so naturally he has many fans all over the world numbered in heavy millions, even if this forum suggests otherwise.

This is a typical scenario, where those "collecting their money from trees" would be happy to spend a small percentage on this purpose. That's a different question though if Barca would be in the strange position to ACCEPT these kind of sponsorship.
If Neymar came, he would agree for a pay-cut, would revoke his 26 million court case, which - as far as law is concerned - is ALSO a sponsorship by the player himself.

So Barca COULD most probably do that, if they wanted, but most probably they do not want to enter that path. But I'm sure that the club must have received offers that would easily cover the actual expenses.

Barca could and could have easily bought Neymar - if they wanted - therefore I start to believe that their actual offers were not serious and probably were to satisfy Messi and the elderly gang and probably also quite a few sponsors as well.

If Neymar's cost were say 200M, one needs to deduct 26M immediately, so it becomes 174 (PSG know that so that's why they started the drama at 300M).
Sponsors (not the private ones but the contracted officials) would have an immediate rise of profits, marketing operations could easily bring 50-60M for the club in 3-5 months time, hence the ACTUAL spending would be around 100-110 millions.

It's less than the fee the club spent on Griezmann, who is a great player but Neymar is an entirely different category.

If the club buys players like Arda, Alcacer, Umtiti or Lenglet, indeed the net expenditure is equal to the money being spent.
But Neymar, Messi, Ronaldo and a few others are exceptionally marketable figures, media-stars who also bring efficiently and effectively huge amounts, even without being on the pitch for a single minute.
This is what those constantly worrying for the club's money and financial situation (in which they do not actually have the slightest insight to) mention all the time, by not taking into account how marketable a player like Neymar is and how much extra money he could bring to the club.

(School is starting here on Monday, so I had to go with my daughter to buy the usual stuff for school. The shop was filled with exercise books, pen-holders and stuff like that with 4-5 Barca players on everything, so only people with the least fantasy can't imagine the value of these marginal sales all over the globe. The average young boy in my country has hardly any idea who Rakitic was but Neymar, Messi, Suarez - they just bring money by trucks for the club).

Hope this is understandable, or at least better to understand than the horrible panic-calculations that this BBZ guy and some others have been presenting day by day.

Thanks for the time and effort to write all this. As you already know, Neymar will stay at PSG and he will fly tomorrow to Miami to join the Brazilian national team.

I kind of have a problem with a country owning a club. Qatar should have had some balls and bought a team in a top league (La Liga / EPL) though. At least Serie A to make a league out of it vs Juve. But I guess they have very strong connections in France.

Neymar was a huge coup ... but the player letting everybody know it was a big mistake, while doesn't look good for the player himself, also is not good for PSGs image. Dembele, who's French, said fuk no to a move there.

I didnt forget. Post several times in his thread how big of a talent he is in my opinion. Even last year. Still dont get why valverde doesnt give him "real chances".

Ansu wasnt supposed to play first team this season and he is way younger. But its nice that its possible right now to give him more time. When he becomes 18-19 Suarez is finished. Messi and griezman old. Its a future player.

Riqui is different. He has to get minutes NOW. Esspecially when our midfield is not that good...

A. FATI - Griezmann - C.PEREZ

R.PUIG - L.Messi - De Jong

Alba - Lenglet - Todibo - Semedo

Ter Stegen

Fati, Perez and Puig has proven themselves as a talents. It is up to this moron coach to believe in them and start giving them minutes. Suarez, Dembele, Busquets and Pique has to sit on the bench. I don't care if we don't win anything this season, as long as I see our own talents developing their games and becoming reliable starters for the future.

No, as things stand now Dembele will be criticized even if he scores 6 goals in 10 minutes.

I don't like Dembele too, but probably will do the same thing in his shoes. Why he has to leave, while still under contract? Neymar was Barcelona's player two years ago. He should never leave the team. Dembele knows very well what Lige 1 is all about and he knows also that PSG has no chance to reach even the finals of the CL.

I guess, when you talk about all this tourist attractions of Paris, you are right. But, let me tell you something. I have been all over the Europe. I have seen Paris more than 10 times. Last time I visit the city of the lights was 2017 and I was shocked. Too many emigrants and beggars on the streets, parks and all this places you have mentioned. The city was dirty as never before. It is not the same Paris of Charles de Gaulle , Alain Delon, Brigite Bardot era.Not even close. As of Roma, historically is still number one in the World, but even more dirty than Paris. To me, this days, Barcelona is the most beautiful and attractive city in Europe. And I am not saying it because I am fan of FCB.

Sorry. Off topic, but we need to put and END to this Neymar SOAP-OPERA. We better concentrate on whom we should sign before the window close.
