This guy is comedy.

Btw, why are you here? We were having a civil discussion before you came to kill it with your trolling.

It's a work of art, isn't it? You could do a bingo with it. Or a drinking game. Take a shot whenever there is:

a) Ad hominem; b) QSG; c) something about "being schooled/destroyed/obliterated by me"; d) nonsense; e) trolling; f) resident clown with no reputation on this board; g) comparison to another user who is so much better at trolling than you.

Tee hee :D

Cute. Only in your head but nice to see you developing a friendship with the resident clown here. You two could become a famed partnership around here.

Wishing you all the success in the world.:D

I actually think the worst posters are the arrogant Pepista brigade. They act like they know absolutely everything about football and resort to personal attacks against anyone that suggests playing a different way or disagreeing with them.

Well, CR never played for a "crap team", most world class players dont, so i dont see where this leads to.
He carried a fair bit for Portugal and RM, though people here only look at the failures.

CR actually played poor more matches than not, and in the final almost not at all, when Portugal won Euros. In his peak Portugal didn't get out of the group stages, that include good ole USA in it. He has frequently not had a big stamp during games critical to his teams success--which they got. I really can't say that about Maradona, Messi, or Zindane--overwhelmingly impactful for their team even if not always been able to overcome the opponents better 11.

...I wouldn`t put Zidane on the level of Messi, Maradona, or even CR when it comes to winning matches, unless it was for big matches. He was a briliant player, world class, but people dont remember anymore that he could be inconsistent, not turning up for the smaller games.

Well we disagree here. I think Zindane would stamp his presence on a match in ways CR doesn't have the capacity too, and since I starting watching football, these three IMO are the best and most impactful individuals on the pitch. I think on a pure talent basis and potential to change a game Mbappe is pretty special and is the best bet. Doesn't mean he will be one of the greatest, but if you hedging bets on young players I start with him.

Wolfe definitely is not a troll, leave him alone.

I don't think Jair is a troll. I think he believes what he says and comes from the place of a diehard PSG fan. Often wacky, but I think authentic.

You guys sure are having a rough time dealing with how good Kylian is.

Not me, I am looking forward to the day he wants to try the best league (not really an opinion) and IMO the best club in the world, Barca. I think him coming in when Messi retires might be great. Who knows, with a contract up in 22, maybe he even could play with Messi.

I will also say you have changed some of my opinions. I am not yet convinced (or feel more likely than not) he is already better than Griezmann, but I am more open to the idea after exchanging with you. Like to see how this champions league all plans out and might switch them or call them even in their importance and effectiveness as players at this point in time.

He'll improve. Don't think he'll reach CR or Messi levels though. These guys were scoring 40+ league goals in a competitive Spanish league at their primes.

What I'm interested in seeing is how PSG and Mbappe approach a possible contract extension. Will he commit to a longer contract when talks start next year I'd assume, or will he run his contract down to one year in 2021 and consider his options overseas too.

The plan from PSG has always been to renew both his and Neymar contracts.
The QNB partnership with Neymar is in that vein.
In the Mbappé deal with Monaco, the bonus were linked with an eventual transfer or renewal. PSG is supposed to work out to entend those players contracts in a way it will lessen the annual cost in FFP accounts.

Then, about the french guy that wishes Mbappé to leave our dear Ligue 1 as fast as possible, i wonder if you have any love or respect for your country.
The player himself keeps saying french are good, that we need to have more self confidence and work hard to achieve our high goals. This is being ambitious ! The easy road would be to join the usual teams trusting said trophies (Barca and Real).

People laugh about Ligue 1 level but in the same vein, they wish their talents to leave as soon as possible which, in turn, make the league less good and the other leagues better.
Talk about a vicious cycle.

Being ambitious for PSG is keeping is best elements and finally getting recognition by winning. As evidenced by the quantity of quality players raised in France, the only thing missing is money. Had the other leagues been under such a strict entity like DNCG,before FFP invention, i'm pretty sure Ligue 1 wouldn't be the one called farmer's league. Spain clubs for instance could accumulate several billions of debt. That would have seen dissolved and relegated to amateur level in France.

I'm a football fan, not a Ligue 1 fan. Best players must play in the best leagues and the best teams, that's the way it is.

I wish Ligue 1 was better, but that fight was lost long ago, we basically have 1 single great club called PSG and that's all. It doesn't make sense Mbappe stays here. I wish we had a European NBA of football with the greatest clubs from every country and PSG, but we don't.

Look, football is entertainment. Who cares if it comes from Liga or Ligue 1 if you get great players, great games. We should love football and great players, not leagues. I just thank Spain and great players for entertaining us. When I watch a movie, I don't care if it comes from the US or France. Only the movie matters.

Then again, if there was another billionaire or 2 coming to Ligue 1, then I'd say he should stay. I hope it'll happen one day but don't hold your breath.

I'm a big French NT fan. But to get better, our best players must go abroad right now. Maybe one day it'll change.
