Neymar Jr. - v5

From the First match and Neymar will have a fight with CR7 on who will take FKs and PKs. No way Ronaldo will let Neymar take them, and no way Neymar will accept that.
And can you imagine the conundrum,if Neymar pulls out a Remuntada kinda performance. Ronaldo and his pr team won't sit back and enjoy Neymar getting all the praises from Media and fans . Bale was a victim of that in 2014-15 season .

Quotes taken from BarcaCentre

Neymar: "I miss Barcelona, but I miss Messi and Suárez the most. I'm very happy that I played with them. Suárez was the icing on the cake for the 'MSN.' All three of us were close and we became inseparable."

Neymar: "We got along very well. We didn't have to say anything to each other. We would just look at each other and we knew what to do. Suárez is a beast, he's intelligent. In training, we joked around a lot."

Neymar: "Messi and I would be training together and he would come up to us angry because he wasn't included. There were matches where I dribbled and gave the final pass. Messi would always do it. Suárez would try to do it. We became so intimate. We were such good friends."

Neymar: "I miss Barça. I miss Messi and Suárez the most. We were happy and great friends."

There is to much smoke without fire for this not to have legs. Things with this much coverage always turn out to be true to some degree.

All over Spanish papers today, constantly people saying he wants to leave.

If not this summer he will definitely be gone next year.

You can say Nasser this Nasser that, they wont be spending his wage keeping an unhappy player and when that twat Alves starts to stir things up in the media and causing squad disharmony they will have to sell him.

Thank you for this! I'll look into it in detail.

But it won't work with Neymar, since Wikipedia states:
"It outlines the provisions which apply if a contract is terminated without just cause, and the requirement for the party in breach to pay compensation.[9] Specifically, it states that any player who signed a contract before the age of 28 can buy himself out of the contract three years after the deal was signed."

The important part is:"3 years after the deal was signed"

Wrote you a long post back but lost it so im gonna keep it short.

Exactly, I dont think it will happen this summer but watch the space for Neymar to activate it in 2 seasons when he is 28, and if still at PSG. To be honest we probably need a big landmark case to cast a shadow on this "PSG refusing to let players go" circus.

On the other hand, if Neymar goes this season then it has to benefit PSG. It would surely have Ronaldo going the other way.

For Madrid it is opportune time to cash out on the 33 year old. Neymar can continue the marketing juggernaut, he has the Barcelona backstory to push too.

For PSG, Nasser gets to save some face. If Madrid win the CL then they could finally have a current Balom D'or playing for them too as the awards happen end of year. Imagine that.

Neymar literally just came out and reaffirmed his desire to stay with PSG. His friends did the same in March via Brasilian media. Why do Barca supporters of all people continue to push this narrative? What do you gain from this?

If you are closet Madrid supporters as well, just say so.

I'll answer you later in detail, but until then: why is this type of deals not used more often? For instance, Rabiot, could we just pay the compensation?

By Barca supporters of all people you mean all Spanish journalists? It's a popular subject, why wouldn't we discuss it?

Are we supposed to pretend that Spanish media is reliable for the sake of peddling an inane discussion?

They are not reliable. Not claiming that. But not that they can't be at something. Where there's smoke there's fire.

We discuss a possible scenario.

All the smoke is coming from one way. Unreliable Spanish media outlets. If you have a credible report to discuss, please point me to it.

But, it isn’t a possible scenario, because real life isn’t a fantasy.

How not? He might stay or he might leave. It's a football rumor, people discuss them. Don't see why you are bothered.

Because he’s in the first year of 5 year contract that doesn’t have a release clause.

Would you be discussing Messi to United because some unreliable English paper reported that it were possible?

Which papers are reliable for PSG?

Probably more of an unwritten rule to maintain interclub relations. Fifa were dead against the ruling in Scotland and were angry with CAS at the decision so there will be issues I guess if a similar case arises on a bigger scale.

Makes you realise why so many players renew every 2/3 seasons though. Also that this is lingering there can help to push through transfer deals easier.

So basically if you really want to leave, you dont sign a new contract every year *cough* Veratti.

In the case of Rabiot, the ball is in his court. I suspect he is holding out for a big contract at PSG like the stars. It is often the only way that homegrown players can negotiate a bigger wage- like Sergi Roberto. Homegrown is seldom rewarded as highly as recruitment.
