Nothing better than kicking them out after giving them some hope. Hopefully it is a healthy loss.

Don't care much about the defeat and end of the streak. There is still second leg at Camp Nou. Refereeing was poor, Paulinho got injured and Valverde had too much faith in Aleix giving him full 90 minutes.

A bad night, it can happen
Nothing is lost, there is still 2nd leg
We'll see who has the last laugh!

Although we'll probably go through to next round, a loss in the Copa may be a blessing in disguise. I think our win last season may have caused bad CL performances. RM were kicked out of CDR two years in a row, saved their energy and won the CL instead.

Utterly boring game. Valvarde's midfield configuration was totally missed together with D.Suarez.

Agree with the overwhelming sentiment of "this is the best game to end the winning streak". Especially because 1) team and individual players actually played well (except Denis and Vidal) despite that and that all with a makeshift lineup and Rafinha as sub 2) winning streaks are getting on nerves of players, good that it's got ridden off and no in the Chelsea tie or even league, where we can still try to be 'invincibles' or smth 3) we will smash them at Camp Nou anyway, let the get their short lived joy for once.

Strange night and game.

Espanyol weren't nearly as shit as I expected, they played well actually.

Guess we helped them by playing nothing football players like Vidal and Denis. Basically a handicap for us.

Meh game. Should have rested more players. Incoming manita in the return legs no worries. Too bad that we get injuries in shitty games...
