We have a waiting list.

Regarding the design it does feel like they went with economics over style and grandeur. It will be interesting to see the rejected designs.

If we ever get to see them....the lack of transparency is bothering me tbh.

Real Madrid showed all the designs prior to voting for one.

I get the feeling there were some extraordinary entries who were rejected for economic reasons. I assume the club is obliged to release the other renders.

Could very well be the possibility, and not necessarily. Might have included a confidentiality clause in the tender issued.

I hope not though. Would love to see how the other projects were.

The most i like about the new design is the undercover seating because it's not always sunny in Barcelona :badday:

Barca definitely should publish too the projects that weren't elected. It's our right to know how they chose for us.

Meh, looks better currently, and as has already been mentioned we don't fill it up now, let alone with 105k seats.
But yeah, the undercover seating is nice.

The only reason why the stadium is not full is because season ticket holders don't show up to games. There's thousands of people on a waiting list to get one. As well as the outdated business seats - or lack of - I can see why they upgrade it.

They are also just going to make Camp Nou perfectly equal on the top tier, no curve, so that's where the couple thousand of extra seats come from.

Looks better currently?! Right now the inside looks like a concrete, unfinished bunker peppered with depressed hot-dog sellers standing by their street-type carts. Then, if you don't break your legs on the dodgy stairs (which tend to not have any bannisters to hold on to) you get to spend the match seating on shitty, uncomfortable plastic chairs. At this point just giving it a lick of paint is going to improve it tenfold.

What matters is how it feels on the inside. How it looks on the outside is just a bonus, and it's still an improvement anyway.
