Ze Lucas

Tough to see him going to Barca B after a full season starting in the Brazilian first division, even if it's for the last placed team.

Either a loan spell or he stays with the team if deemed good enough.

Tough to foresee how our midfield situation unfolds.

Looks great in that video. But we have to remember videos can be misleading.

Looks a good talent though. Hope he has a good career and prime when he comes to Europe. Looking forward to seeing more from him.

So is the only report of this still from Florentino's buddy or have some other reliable folks confirmed it?

The information about Barça's interest in the Sporting player was released this Tuesday by the newspaper Marca and confirmed by Globo. [Source Globo]

Its legit. Brazils Globo have verified it.

Sneaky feeling it doesn't go through though. Sporting Recife reportedly rejected a 12m euro bid from EPL in April. So it's going to be around 20m or so including installments and sell on % - presumably.

15m for a guy with 5 starts in Brasileirao would be madness in our position. I don't think Deco goes for this deal if it costs more than 5m, or like 5m + 10m in unlikely installments (like 20 league games and a Ballon D'or)

Could do a similar deal to Pedri (and the reported one for Cardoso Varela).

5m and additional 1m for every 10 games played or smh like that.

If he turns out good enough and establish in the first team longterm then he's easily worth 15-20m even if he would be just a squad player.

Catalan sources now (tier 1 too iirc)

Adding to this. I done some digging because I found it weird that their directors went to Spain and not the other way around.

The Sport Recife directors (Yuri Romao, Thiago Gasparino, and Enrico Ambrogini) are touring Spain and have met with Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Villarreal, seeking contact. They have been welcomed at the Luis del Sol sports complex, and Betis has been listening to them, but there has been no movement so far to sign any player, not even the aforementioned Zé Lucas. So there it is. The article is about Betis being approached btw.

There is the Marca guys angle in all of this.

Also if we are signing, perhaps we will share the rights with Betis initially, ala Emerson.

Regarding Zé Lucas, Deco has already had the opportunity to inform the Sport Recife leadership that Barça is not on the market for a midfielder like the Brazilian international. The Barça youth academy is prolific in this position, and Hansi Flick's first team already boasts several highly talented and youthful midfielders.

Brazilian sources have indicated that the Brazilian club's board is targeting Zé Lucas at a fee of around €12 million to €15 million. This is an exorbitant price for this profile, considering that Bardghji's arrival will be finalized after a transfer fee of around €2 million.

Read the article. Bolded bit made me laugh as if Onions price is a market norm.

10-15m is fair price, but not really priority so good to nego. Reading between the lines we will be willing to pay half of that and do a co-ownership deal with Betis if they want it.

We both broke, so let's rather call it a co-brokership

Bernal pockets these so-called talents from 3rd tier leagues Kid Cudi style (Day N'Nite)

Bring Nico, Grimaldo and let's go already. Q$G getting cocky in Donald J. Duck Cup.

Andrey Santos cost around 12M and he was a far bigger talent in a much bigger/wealthier club.

I mean, a player worth what clubs want to pay, but this feel like a club desperate for money and trying to cash on their talent as early as possible.
