Should be playing for Barca B, he clearly can't keep up right now. Not too promising so far, but maybe he'd do better as an AM.

Gonna quote myself from the Konrad-thread before he got his two starts this week :

Demir has great footballing abilities, is very good on the ball. He is just not a winger for that level, similar to Trincao. He lacks pace and would be much more suited for the role of an attacking midfielder. Not gonna say that pace is everything as Ansu and Sancho aren't elite in that regard, but you need to have decent speed on the wing which he doesn't possess.

Demir wasn't even a starter for Rapid Vienna and he needs to grow physically, but I'd still give him a shot over LdJ easily.

It isn't just pace, he lacks agility and movements for the wing.
you can survive with lack of pace if you know when and where to move, when you know how to put the defender behind your back once you dribble past him.
Demir lacks a lot of intelligence in his game, not just pace.
This could very well translates in midfield as well, as he is required to have elite awareness in that position.
He feels like one of those kids who was too talented for their age group that they didn't feel the need to develop other areas of their game.
He has potential, and an elite one for sure, but the odds are usually not in favors of this type of players

It's not only his tendency to cut inside,
It's clear that he hasn't been taught the positioning of a winger.

He is not even staying out wide to receive.
Our right flank was dead in both last games.

He probably needs to play some games with Barca B to learn that stuff

Don't think Koeman or whoever after will play him as a CAM, there are better options at that position. He probably won't become next Pedri but he can learn a lot regardless of his performances.

Who do you see as a viable CAM option for us currently?

Agree with this a lot. There are plenty of wingers that lack pace that get by fine because they are intelligent, know how to get a step on their man and receive the ball into a good position, eg Markel Suseata, Joaquin, Fekir etc are guys who succeeded in LaLiga without having blistering pace on the wing, being great playmakers who were able to stretch the field but they knew when to cut in and make runs. Plenty of players like that who are AM/winger hybrids and understand the positioning of that role and when to cut in.

But the problem is with Demir he looks like he has never played pro football before when he's on the wing. 0 runs in behind to stretch the defense, never takes on the fullback and when he does receive the ball goes inside and congests the midfield, laying it off to someone else. A player who is a good dribbler, and essentially, nothing else right now. Every time he receives the ball he cuts in, eventually Cadiz just started ignoring him because they may as well have not had a fullback there. 0 production down the right flank.

I want to see him in a game as CAM to see if he does any better but I wouldn't bet on it. He doesn't look atm like he has a creative eye, most of his touches are just layoffs and short passes. There is a good reason why we bought him for Barca B initially and why it's an buy option but Koeman's dogma and Laporta's shitty squad planning brought him into the first-team when he has almost nothing to offer.
