He did it.

Long overdue image.

Just one conceded goal in La Liga so far in six games.

And try to figure it out, is Stegen playing better because the defenders have become better, or the defenders have begun to play better because Stegen has become a wall? The mandatory goal in any match has disappeared.)

Number 1 : Stegen himself has improved significantly. He is performing above PSxG.

Number 2 : We have much better defenders.

Number 3 :
The rank of opponents we have played so far

Rayo - 11th
Sociedad - 12th
Sevilla - 16th
Valladolid - 18th
Cadiz - 19th
Elche - 20th

Even against Bayern we conceded two goals off mental mistakes/our own undoing.

They didn't really create all that much apart from that. This defence is a work in progress, but the potential is there especially if we're able to move Kounde to CB and sign a proper RB.

Sociedad, historically tough game and Sevilla too. It's very hard to win away vs Sevilla.

Cadiz we couldn't beat in four straight games.

I don't buy this BS they all suck

I was thinking the same. Against Bayern the team conceded two goals, but the way Barca played the whole match was totally different to what we've got acustomed to against big clubs in recent years, I mean post 2-8 demolition we took. As you said it's a work in progress.

Not to jinx, but another big plus this season is the lack of big injuries. This time around last year we were probably the most injury-prone club in the world. Koeman focused on that apparently, Xavi continues this line of physical preparation.
