What do we need for next season?

Hello, I am curious on how we should move forward as a club and what people think the right moved are.

Do we persist with Lewa another season or try to sell him and replace him?

Do we need a new centre back or is Inigo Martinez good for another season?

What about right back? Should we get a new right back and move Kounde cb or is he a better right back than cb now?

these are crucial things to consider as I have a feeling flick second season will be a dip overall and Madrid will only get stronger

Goalkeeper: Ter Stegen as number 1 and Tek as backup. Sell Pena and bring in one of the youngsters as third keeper.

Defence: Kounde and Garcia should be fine at RB. If Christensen stays fit, we have three good CBs with him, Cubarsi and Martinez. And Araujo as a backup. Personally I would sell Araujo and use the money to bring in a future partner for Cubarsi. Don't like Tah that much. But you can't go wrong with a free transfer. We should probably look for a decent LB backup. Without Balde, our left side is dead in attack.


Midfield: Perfect! Nothing to add with the return of Bernal and Cassado. It might even be too crowded, but we wouldn't be selling anyone.


Attack: I think Lewy will stay for another season. So I would sign J. David for free as a versatile backup (maybe even with potential?). And we desperately need a (left) winger. Adeyemi or Lookman would be my preferred options. Not too expensive (fee and salary), great potential and very versatile.

The essence is squad depth. Backup left winger, backup left back. Lack of squad depth cost us big time and if we want to compete for all titles it's gotta get better.

Starting quality we only need a goalkeeper while a centre back would also be nice although I think we can persist with Inigo, Cubarsi and hopefully Chris if he can stay fit

Get rid of a number of players. Ter Stegen out. Useless fuck. I dont care if it's on a free. Get a good keeper. There are plenty out there.
Araujo out. If we can get 40 million, it's a no brainer.
Christensen out. Too injury prone.
Lewandowski out. Too old and expensive.
Pena out if we get 10 million.
Fort out. Doesn't seem good enough.
Gavi out. Alot of people will hang me for this but if you get upwards of 40 million, it's a no brainer.
That's seven out. Bring seven in.

Problem with Barca is sentimentality. Hanging onto players too long. Look what happened with amigos.
It's time to be proactive. We've been too soft and reactive in the past.

Getting a physical, hard man dm to play alongside Pedri would be awesome. Free him up a bit and bring some security to the defence.

its a no branier we need backup at both fullback positions. wr need to also dig into La massia for any players that could fill wholes in left wing. We already have a backup eight winger from barca b. I would say sell araujo and try to get a striker. I don't think lewa can have a better season than this, still good for most games, but ahr will be an issue going forward.
my thoughts is we need more depth and perhaps rethink our defensive approach because teams have figured it out.

Goalkeeper is pure fan fiction. We don't have the ressources to put someone with ter Stegen's wages on the bench and I doubt his countryman will force him out just like that, less so after he's coming back from a long injury.

GK - Stegen + Tek as backup
FB - lots of work since only Kounde is top notch. I'd bring a better LB, but I know everyone hypes that bum Balde
CB - we need a world class CB, should sell Araujo and replace Christensen since he is injured most of the time
DM/CM - we are stacked on numbers but low on quality. likes of Gavi, Casado etc are not good enough. Probably will again judge based on emotions and fuck it up
AM - we'll probably stick with Olmo/Fermin, two bums IMHO, but that's how we roll
RW - need some cover for Yamal
LW - I'd sell Rhaphina to Saudi and upgrade
ST - should bring a top ST and get rid of Lewa. We'll probably fuck it up again

Many things to improve, but can't see club doing the right thing.
