What do we need for next season?

Back-up fullback is a must.

CB is also a must imo.

Goalkeeper and back-up left winger needed.

Maybe can do 3 free agents and / or loans, and spend good money on only one, but make it a hit. Most likely keeper is the one the club should spend money on.

Don't think it's likely to get a CL title having a semi-retiree or a terrorist in goal. Look at the CL finalists, their keepers constantly pulled amazing saves to bail them out in tough moments.

If the finances don't allow all to happen, get at least a fullback and a back-up winger. Hope Christensen can contribute more than he did this season, not much you can do more. And try to convince Scznesny to stay one more season.

Anything but Stegen and Araujo in CL ever again.

Getting a physical, hard man dm to play alongside Pedri would be awesome. Free him up a bit and bring some security to the defence.

Cerrillo would be the best DM we've had since prime Busi, and he's only 2.5M. Pro scouts are just as crap as most club owners and coaches.

GK: Literally Joan Garcia or a new starter for god's sake. Tek is Tek and ter Stegen's knee might fall off after all these injuries. Neither are a long-term solution and if there's a very good one available in the market literally in your own city then you need to be ruthless and secure it IMO.

DEF: With Eric Garcia's performances probably a LB, or maybe a versatile FB able to play on both sides? Could Vanderson do it? I don't know. Sell Araujo and consider signing Tah on free transfer. I don't think Tah is a high ceiling signing, but if you're going to sell Araujo then Tah is a similar-ish profile so would make sense to have one such player in the squad.

MF: We're fine here and I don't see any signing that makes much sense either this summer unless you want to bring Partey or someone like that on free transfer which I wouldn't care much for myself, and the club might want to avoid the off the pitch stuff with him anyway. Try to renew Frenkie on decent terms for both sides I guess.

ATT: A LW, I don't know who whether Rashford, Lookman, Nico, Leao, Luis Diaz whatever, there's a new name all the time. Just sign a good one please. Ideally a new starting striker, but that's not happening. As good as Ferran has been, it's not going to be easy when you have to deal with top, taller and physical CBs so a mobile, quick and physical striker would be great, but not happening this summer I think.

Won't be an endless budget so the goal should be to secure top competition/depth as possible in the positions lacking. If the club are able to spend more freely then a striker should obviously be considered as well.

Goalkeeper: Ter Stegen as number 1 and Tek as backup. Sell Pena and bring in one of the youngsters as third keeper.

Defence: Kounde and Garcia should be fine at RB. If Christensen stays fit, we have three good CBs with him, Cubarsi and Martinez. And Araujo as a backup. Personally I would sell Araujo and use the money to bring in a future partner for Cubarsi. Don't like Tah that much. But you can't go wrong with a free transfer. We should probably look for a decent LB backup. Without Balde, our left side is dead in attack.

Midfield: Perfect! Nothing to add with the return of Bernal and Cassado. It might even be too crowded, but we wouldn't be selling anyone.

Attack: I think Lewy will stay for another season. So I would sign J. David for free as a versatile backup (maybe even with potential?). And we desperately need a (left) winger. Adeyemi or Lookman would be my preferred options. Not too expensive (fee and salary), great potential and very versatile.

Level-headed post. Congrats!
My comments:

- If araujo is sold, I would buy a left-footed LCB. Inigo is old and there are question-marks if he can stay fit the whole next season
- Totally agree on your RB and LB assessments. Seems Eric is making RB position his own, and can rotate Kounde.
Martin cannot be our backup LB, we need something better
- Rashford (per rumors as well) is the ideal hybrid LW/ST for not big money (loan + option). I would add we need a Lamine sub with similar (creative/dribbling) profile, even if not of WC quality.
I would go for Chukweze from Milan: low cost, low wage, LL experience, kinda dumb but great dribbler, and AS A SUB he will be ideal
