:cesc:, , were all better in the PL. I didn't say every EPL player is overrated, but the league in general is, plus most of the players are overpriced. Just tell me how a sane person can justify the price tags of Downing, Carroll, Torres and the likes. On the other hand, David Silva, Mata, Aguero, Yaya Touré etc. were bargains (considering their quality) and they dominate the league.

I'm not talking about 5 years ago when the PL was the best league in the world (so that rules out and anyway). I'm talking about right now. And right now, the PL is overrated.

Back to topic: Kompany wasn't good against Chelsea, but he was lucky.

It wasn't great defending but Defoe still had a lot to do. It was more down to Defoe's quality rather than any Kompany mistake.

It wasn't great defending but Defoe still had a lot to do. It was more down to Defoe's quality rather than any Kompany mistake.

Was obvious what Defoe wanted to do and Kompany should have shown him on the outside. Stood there and gave Defoe too much space to easily cut inside onto his right foot and get the shot away.

Was a fantastic strike but Kompany's defending was very poor and he gave Defore the opportunity.

I don't want to sound repetitive because I have always said that I find Kompany overrated (not poor, but overrated). But you are right, he often makes mistakes.

How about this. . . Joe Hart's ball to come and claim or Kompany's own goal. . . Looking at how the ball was played in those would have been the two possible outcomes outside the goal.
