Viktor Gyökeres

Don Juan Laporta Estruch

Basta yaaaaaaa, Cabron ! y Bona nit 🥂
Watch him actually play a full 90 and you will see a pressing machine that is a super strong, super quick, super direct centre forward that solves numerous issues with Barca's FIRST TEAM, ( which is obviously more important than 'depth'.)

Not least he would be the best direct free kick taker in the team ( not that there is much competition to be fair ).

The ones that say he has ' only done it in the Portuguese league ' just can't be bothered to actually watch him play. It's a lazy excuse.

And he is nothing like the Nunez case either, because his numbers in Portugal were nowhere near as good as Gyok's and he was missing his characteristic sitters whilst at Benfica as well.

This guy is maniac.

Check out that top speed and average speed.

34.55
Top speed (km/h)
33.88 avg. per match

He is basically walking for positioning and then all out sprinting for balls and press.

Legend. Hope he's clean.
Bro, he is an absolute bruiser type of player.

The idea is that Lewa won't last much longer (which has been said immediately after he was signed, and he is still going) and we need someone to replace him.

One thing I like about Gyökeres is that he is a physical beast. Very strong and fairly fast, while he is 1.89m. He is even better than prime Lewa in that regard. I think Only Halaand is superior to him. That doesn't mean much without football ability though.
I haven‘t seen many games of him but speed and physique is not the main item for our striker. Prime lewa was one of the best striker of the last 25 years. But now is not at his prime.

Haaland is somebody i don’t want to see here or a haaland typ player if he has the same bad technical skills. Alverez would be the optimum player or something like benzema, lewa, suarez prime but there is no good striker out there for now. There used to be a lot more good strikers like the three mentioned, but now? We should scout a young talent

I've watched him a lot, he's the real deal - but Lewa is fucking it all up for us. Gyo will leave this summer and we can't/won't be in for him, shame really.

Lewandowski shouldn't stop us from signing a striker. In any case Lewandowski should be fine being the backup at his age with it likely being his final season in Europe.

Only thing stopping us is probably salary cap + the question of whether they rate him enough to go for it I guess.

Lewy can be good, but he can't play every minute. That's for sure. He loses his edge when that happens. We saw it on multiple seasons. He fades out playing too many minutes. We absolutely need substitute for him.

Torres was brilliant last season but not sure about him, he isn't really a striker. Especially in the box. No heading ability. Open game where heading is not that important Torres is okayish vs top teams. That's why I would want someone a bit better.

The fact is, we need a striker this off-season or the next. Its a must. So do we make a move now or later? It's coming soon anyway..

I saw the City game where he was massive. I expected him to get a big winter move based off of that, after Rimmed had left.

Is he really going to United to ruin his career or maybe there are no other options on the table?

DId not read any rumours recently but just noticed that there are some odds for transfer specials in b**365 and the odds for him are:

1.28 to United
6.00 to Juve
8.00 to Arsenal
11.00 to f*** off to Saudi
13.00 to Napoli
15.00 to stay in Sporting

Drama between the club and player.

The president said he will not leave for 60+10.

He's saying he won't turn up for pre season and will never play for them again.

Who will blink first
