If I recall Joaquin was very close to joining Real but the chairman kept interfering threatning to loan him to a club in Siberia.

Yes, RM were chasing him each summer but de Lopera never gave in. That Real Betis team with Denilson (once the most expensive player in football history), Marcos Assunção etc. was a very decent team.

I wouldn't have a problem with Napoli on a 2 legged clash. Fearing them on a single game final though, they are unpredictable and a very individually talented team. Still nothing certain though.
