People love to underrate his talent because of his determination. Cristiano for me is as talented as Neymar, just that one has more natural flair than the other.

I agree in general but I still think Neymar is a bit more gifted naturally. Not much of a difference though.
The "CR7 had no talent and was just hardwork" narrative is extremely annoying.
Lots of people think talent is just dribbling. But passing, control and ball striking ability is also talent.

Jokes aside, CR has definitely good amount of talent, guy showed he can play as midfield player (young Manu days), as winger and as striker on an absolutely TOP lvl. People think he doesnt have much talent because they tend to underrate his passing, skills, and game IQ. Look at the runs he makes, you cant learn that. When he was very young and playing in Madeira he wasnt allowed to use his right foot in training because he was just too good. He couldnt train to that time as much as when he got older and still was beating everyone. Obviously, Messi, Ronaldinho or Ney had waaay more talent. But his determination and mentality to get better and better has compensate the lack of talent he has compared to these guys. He had to train 3x harder to become the best. Imagine Maradona's talent + Ronaldo's mentality. This would have made our life much easier as we wouldnt have to waste time with discussion who the GOAT is!

There is no problem with giving respect to players who deserve it, Muller is one of them but no need to disrespect others in the process. Neymar with 1℅ determination can have better career than Muller simply because he is on a whole another dimension of football ability. But also the level of Neymar's determination in some moments is overlooked by people who hate him and there is a lot of such people. He gave everything for his country, for Santos when he led them to glory, for Barça in our treble season, for PSG when he led them to CL final with fantastic performances

Like I said that people underrate Cristiano's talent they also underrate Messis mentality. You don't stay at the top like Messi with talent alone and a bad mentality. He has the same determination like Cristiano, but has more talent.
So no need to imagine Maradonas talent with Cristiano's determination, you just have to look at Messi who is the best of both worlds.

i agree that ppl underrate Messi's work off the field, you cant stay so long on top if you dont working hard even though CR is at his own level, he is the guy who comes 1st in training and the last who leaves it...
