edit: Also Spain 6-1 Bulgaria. Down depressed as a kid, but still remember Spaniards were in tears, because they got eliminated as well. Nigeria and Paraguay screwed them.

That clip gets shown on Dutch tv every other week cause of the commentary.

Next to dutch NT I closely followed R9. Mostly cause when all the kids in my neighbourhood rounded up and someone was gifting the Ronaldo panini card they all went nuts. I ended up receiving the card as I was youngest and was my first ever panini card. Then I knew was special player. I was also mesmerised by the Yellow green brazil jersey. Then also got gifted a fake brazil jersey from turkey lol. Brazil was also hyped during those years so watched them yeah. Also Fifa world cup ‘98 videogame lol

I was 16, that was the best goal of France 98. A Cameroon guy scored a belter early in the tournament too (Pierre Njanka). Michael Owen's goal too.

France 98 was the best World Cup of my lifetime I think. USA 94 was good too. But might be childhood nostalgia talking.

So many good players.
