They are much more gelled than us since they have played a lot of games together, we have had too many players that are either out for a while or new or young, so it is expected. First year of the rebuild. And I am happy we are giving 100%.

We are on a good track judging by only this game.

What we learned.
Pedri immediate starter.
Gavi falling down to earth still decent but no longer a starter.
Nico is definitely best young midfielder behind Pedri now.
FDJ maybe expendable now.
Dembele caused the most problems for RM by far. Ferran Torres awful debut.
Alves better than Dest but far from good enough at 38.
Pique still decent enough
Araujo 100% starter only great defender.
Alba just like last clasico costs a goal on the counter.
Ebde is terrible player
Juttgla terrible
Depay terrible
Busquets we have no choice
LDJ needs to start he is a threat in the air that we need
Ansu was pretty bad besides the goal which is still all that matters.

We will improve throughout the year. Next year will be a breakout year. 3 years we will be a major threat.

No choice but to p;ay Busquets is worst excuse going.

Always have choice. Change formation.. play FDJ there, play Nico even or Pedri did well playing deeper last season.

Just accept a done player as have no choice and accept someone not good enough is nonsense.

We were better through large chunks of the game before Xavi switched to that weird 3-2-2-3 and were exposed a lot.

The only times RM threatened was through counters. In set play, our pressing completely nullified them.
We have said many times that one of our biggest vulnerabilities is transitions. And that is still the case big time..

Other than that, I am quite happy with the performance, despite the loss

Dembele and LDJ probably best two players.

Fati and Pedri did well off bench. Nico decent as well.

Defensvely an absolute chaotic shambles.

Abde and Depay as bad as can be.

Great showing from our team tbh. A lot of control majority of game, solid pressing resulting in recovering ball and a lot of good buildups. Just think busquets shouldve looked for dembele faster at times to start a counter.

What's wrong with a midfield of
