Spain

I never lost hope that Argentina is arguably the favorite for the World Cup.

99.9% of the team has their set XI, but Argentina is the rare exception. The thing with Argentina is that the team is incredibly flexible that adapts to their opposition while still retaining their identify. If Argentina faces off Spain, I have a feeling I might know what Scaloni will do, and I trust Scaloni to prep well for that match. It'll be difficult, but I have trust in this team.

My top3 are Argentina, Spain, France.

Then Portugal&England.

Germany, Brazil, Uru can be dark horses and Germany was pretty good in EURO.

Not worried about Lamine, if nothing else a good learning experience that the outcome isn’t always assured simply due to talent

For La Roja, I would be more concerned going to WC with De La Fuente who was outclassed by the tactics of Martinez - negating the wing play and having nothing to offer in middle of pitch worked in Portugal’s favor. But RFEF are not a rationale organization so I am skeptical anything will change

Emotions on the Internet spilling over, the coach has to work on his attacking subs and be willing to make changed earlier.

The pedri sub I have no issue with, if there is one thing Spain has it's Midfielders who are all highly capable.

But mingueza stayed on entirely too long and that's where the game was lost, I understand the reason behind starting him, porro was poor against France and mingueza is very fast, so he had the recovery speed needed in defense.

But yesterday it just wasn't working, he should have seen that and made the adjustment.

Morata coming on in a leverage moment is just asking to lose, sometimes we have to just accept who players are, he should be like the 7th penalty taker.

You keep yamal on just because he can do things no one else in the squad can.

Tournament was a 50/50 for Spain.

Going forward they have to figure out how they will make the Midfield work, a fit rodri is the best Midfielder in the world, pedri likes to play at CM, Ruiz is undroppable until something changes, only solution is to go half Luis Enrique and positional rotations like a mother fucker.

Back up Midfield is Zubi, merino, olmo, no other team has this much quality in Midfield, that is their special sauce.

In defense pray carvajal is back, if not
Split time 50/50 between the other two and see who clicks first.

drop la Normand, start Laporte or Cubarsi, Dean was good but not as great as some thought he was, but the starting CB should come between two of those three.

At LB, the options truly are very deep, from balde, cucu, grimaldo, that benfica kid, but for me you start with Balde, he's the only FB right now I can think of, that can give you what mendes and hakimi can, he still needs to work on his actual crossing, cucu and especially grimaldo are way better than him at that, but otherwise he's the perfect FB for today's game.

PS grimaldo should have come on in extra time, just for ability to deliver a deadly final ball.

Expect Lamine to bail your cowardly setup but kid gets double marked while not getting any support from conservative RB.

Sub off Pedri put in Isco, continue with 2 DMs while having Fermin, Olmo as scoring options.

Morata now saying he will likely retire from the NT.

This is the guy that was brought on to win the game for you and also take a penalty.

Portugal’s team setup is starting to remind me of 2014-18 RM where they are stacked with talent in all positions and just pump balls into the box, one or two of which Cristiano is gonna get to per game.

They shouldn’t be taken lightly in this coming WC. We might actually see an Argentina - Portugal game

Bit of an overreaction... they won a glorified friendly on pens (what winning a coin toss does, eh ?). They have an excellent team though.

Nah, they’re dangerous. And more so than talent, which they always had, they’re learning how to best use Cristiano’s only remaining talent.

Shouldn’t be taken lightly.
