Ronaldo

Yup, there's a reason everyone who experienced him/played against him in those times (Nesta, Maldini, Desailly, Thuram, ZZ, Seedorf etc.) rate him as one of the aliens.

It's not just the goals, it's how he scored them. Perfect striker.

Yes tru, he had the toughest defenders you can imagine and still made it look easy

imagine he would playing today, guy would destroy every defence on his own, 1 of my fav players

PS: I have a brazil Ronaldo jersey at home 🔥

The greatest number 9 in history. Trophies/numbers aside, your greatest legacy is how you're remembered by other legends of the game. Those are all world class players who played with/against him. No striker had a bigger impact on future generations than El Fenomeno.
I agree, football was prevented from seeing prosper without injuries. It really is a shame that he got injured and football was prevented from seeing his true peak. He was so good that he carried a Barcelona side off 2 trophyless seasons into winning 3/4 trophies in 1 year, if he didn't go with the Brazilian national team for that friendly tournament we definitely would have won the league in 1996-97. That 1996-97 side was one of the best Barcelona sides that never won Liga/Champions League, a truely underappreciated side that didn't get its flowers because the Barcelona hierarchy didn't trust SBR. The main guy behind it truly was Ronaldo.

His injury is truly one of football's greatest heartbreaking moments. But even with this injury I dont think his career/peak is a "what if", since he came back stronger than ever in 2002 WC and scored a brace past Kahn who was a titan. And he scored loads of goals everywhere he played, was just unlucky with some of the teams at that time. In his only season with us he could've won the treble but they came short of 2 points if I remember correctly. I agree that team was underated, and his season here was arguably his greatest.
