Ronald Koeman

Should be given another year. It's not like we were going to win CL. Not by a mile. Not with this shit squad. The goal should be to finish top 4 and continue with the rebuild process.

This isn't good and won't fix anything. Our problems are institutional/way deeper than just a coach. This forum does not seem to grasp that

the forum knows nothing and decides nothing.

koeman hasn't impressed with anything in particular and failed in all competitions. with elections around the corner, it is normal that his head will roll. why should the new board keep him, when he has nothing to force their hand with?

On pitch microphones picked it up, video is doing the rounds on Twitter.

uefa with their genius idea of not adding fake crowd noise and putting more microphones so we can hear all these idiotic conversations between players. they want to turn it into reality show?

He will stay, it would be idiotic to change 3 coaches in 2 years. The club needs stability, and anyway, there is no better alternative. No high profile coach would touch this mess of a club.

Give Koeman another year, at worst he will get rid of the past it seniors and deadweight, and give youngsters a chance. Currently that is the best Barca can hope for in the short term, without money for transfers, and a huge debt.

You can't keep switching coaches and hoping something works. The problem is way deeper than just the coach. You can't possibly expect any trophies with how chaotic this club is.

Just keep him for this transition. It’s not like we have money to spend anyways. If we are worse next season then fire him and bring Xavi or whoever.

At that point we should have cleared out more of the dead wood and hopefully have some money to make signings. Whoever is coach then can bring in players they think would fit their vision.

I do think in recent times the CL has become the measuring stick of a team's success. Back in the 90's, the cup winners cup and Uefa were seen as great trophies to win too. Soon as teams starting routinely winning their leagues, domestic titles didn't mean as much and the CL was the pinnacle. Since then a bad CL match can pretty much ruin a clubs season in spectators' eyes.

Nail, head and hammer.
Perfectly put.
The leagues and even cl are dominated by very few teams nowadays. Back in the day you had a Red Star Belgrade, Villa or Forrest winning the Cup. Now you have a very small field of genuine contenders.

I like Koeman but he really should have gotten rid of Busquets, Umtiti and Lenglet at the beginning of the season. Pique should be on the bench. I'd rather have Araujo and Mingueza as starters. Coutinho should have been sold too. If we had only recouped 75 million for all those players it would have been something.

For some reason people here don't understand this. No matter what line up you put on the park we are still pretty shit. Blame Barto and Shitverde for this.

Back then only league winners could play in the Champion cup. Few teams to compete. Can not compare to UCL now.
