Nice fat Covid outbreak
Asensio, Rodrygo, Bale, Lunin, Marcelo, Modrić and Davide Ancelotti all testing positive

Apparently Oblak had fever before the Derby

La Liga will not postpone the Real Madrid-C?diz match on Sunday despite a Covid-19 outbreak in the Madrid camp. (AS)

They're probably going to beat Cadiz 4-0 anyway.

Think Health Ministry today changed isolation rules from 10 to 7 days so maybe not out for Valencia

At least Vini getting rest after 3 months of playing everything back to back
Curious to see how Lunin does and whether he earns some playing time for Supercopa

Not sure I’d call that for a rest tbh given how some players have said they have struggled with their fitness levels after getting COVID

Aren't most players who get covid these days already vaccinated?

Very low chance they will struggle afterwards.

COVID can still hit you hard even if vaccinated though. Sure it might not be as likely, but in some cases it can still be draining. De Bruyne mentioned recently how he's still been struggling to get his fitness level back up to where it used to be. Not sure if he was vaccinated though.

Nothing is impossible, i suppose, but its very unlikely for young, vaccinated people to struggle long-term.
As for De Bruyne, he played the euros with injuries, so thats also part of the equation.

Pep speaking previously on KDB getting Covid. OTBsports

Forget about the fitness and the momentum. Now he is positive he has to recover well and go with as few symptoms as possible.

"The health of the human being is more important than anything else. So one person tests positive, be careful because still now people are dying about this pandemic situation.

"He was vaccinated so he was more protected.

"Hopefully he will have minor symptoms. The important thing is that he comes back when he is negative, he will start to train with us as soon as possible again and come back but it’s not about any concern about the rhythm or what we are going to miss.

"The person is more important. When someone tests positive we have to be careful and we have to help him and he has to be isolated at home and hopefully it will go well."
