Gonzalo Petit, an 18-year-old Uruguayan striker who plays for Club Nacional in his home country, is close to becoming a new Betis player. As revealed by journalist Martín Charquero and confirmed by MARCA through direct sources involved in the negotiations, the player is being worked on to purchase 85% of his transfer. Uruguay is reporting a fee of around nine million dollars, which could ultimately be closer to six million euros.

Uruguay’s Next Kai Havertz - doesn't look good to me, lol

Compared to Berbatov here, much better.

They've signed Valentin Gomez for 5m.

@soul24rage He any good?
I like him, not national team material yet but he's a good talent.

He's only about 180cm but he has good strength, has good control of the ball and can pass decently. Reminds me of Lisandro Martinez a bit. Needs to improve his jump timing and his long passes though.

Don't think so, he was just another victim of modern day United and expectations that came with a high fee paid for him. Also lacks athleticism for the PL that's not as big problem in La Liga. But otherwise is a hardworking lad and clearly has some talent.

Even if he fails they should easily recuperate money selling him to SA.

Good point. People thought Palmeiras buying Vitor Roque from us were shenanigans, but the Brazilian clubs like the Turks, have found strong financial muscle of recent.

Botafogo brought back Danilo for 23m and Cabral for 12m from Europe, Flamengo brought back Samuel Lino for 22m and Emerson for 9m, and Palmeiras Ramon Sosa (12m) and Pereira (10m).

So there is a market for the top clubs there to bring back Antony at cost atleast, now that he has moved to Betis and reduced his wage packet.

Btw weren't we linked with Luiz Gustavo for defence? I just seen City Group bought him for Bahia at just 5m. Damn.

The turks will go down with a shock.
Gala sold many properties to have this money and throw the money away now. Also gross is net there for players, what an unfair thing for the majority of the people there. but basically I like Gala, a very big club, in terms of popularity and fans it is ahead of many pl clubs

Betis, like many other clubs, knows their fanbase and how to run social media.

Barca social media makes exciting stuff cringe-worthy. Don't think it excites dykes or teenage girls either, which appears to be targeting.

Betis got a 100m player. Jokes on you clowns, who said LaLiga clubs are broke and couldn't handle transfers of worldclass players anymore.

(That's what Tebas probably said after this transfer)

hmm I believe United has a 50 % sell on clause, so assuming it’s on the full amount of his next transfer, he’d need to sell for 50m for Betis to just break even.

If he replicates his last season's form they can do it easily.
