Only about 5 points outside the top 10 or so in the world on Superbru, so technically I could still make it in on the last day.

As for the actual football, still 5 teams in with a shout of CL football. Newcastle, Chelsea and Villa all level on 66 points. I expect City to make it - even if they lose I can see Villa or Chelsea dropping points. But if Villa, Newcastle and Chelsea all win and Man City don't lose then Villa will be out by manner of their very inferior goal difference to the others.

Man United tend to get beaten a lot at Old Trafford in the league these days, but they still often have Villa's number despite Villa being a better team than them now. A lot might depend on how United do tonight too - win and they go into that game celebrating with a spring in their step. Lose and the place will be like a morgue on Sunday. I expect Villa will be hoping Spurs win tonight.

Newcastle should beat Everton at home. Villa's best bet is to win (obviously) and hope Chelsea don't beat Forest. That's by far their most likely way in after Man City won last night.

This clip shows you how pros are levels above in terms of talent and ability than normal people who love playing the sport.

Football fans talk about these 2 like they're scrubs with no talent(which is absolute rubbish BTW) but they played at the highest level for so long for a reason.

This. My lil guy is in a LaLiga academy (no not gonna say), and the reality is that the best most technically gifted players of these age groups don't make it. And the ones that do will probably filter down into the lesser positions like centres and fullbacks, with the absolute cream taking the attacking positions.

Talent levels are just a different level. A guy like Carragher for example at the top of the pro game technically was average as fuck, but would be dribbling for fun around general players. And as a kid was probably doing a Take Kubo in youth football early days.

Back to Spain, you can go back just 5 years and watch the LaLiga promises dream team with Lamine, Shane Kluivert, Landry, Bernal and Cubarsi. Bernal is dribbling every one for fun. Landry is taking it around every one up and down the pitch. Now in the pro game these guys have become far more limited in their range.

That's why when I talk about players being good at amateur or semi pro level I qualify it with infinitely lower level..and when we say a player is rubbish we mean by elite level of the game standards.

It shows how bad football fandom has become when 'most supported club on Reddit' (full of 12 year old Americans who have followed football for 10 minutes) and 'biggest online forum' are considerations in the real world for which club is a bigger club.

Biggest fanbase also means nothing - just means a lot of lemmings follow them.

Liverpool have been far better in Europe, generally play better football, and have a more loyal, competent fanbase in general (see how they hounded out H and G whereas this 'massive' United fanbase are too incompetent to protest properly against the Glazers).

Man United are only the biggest in superficial stuff like how many glory hunters/hangers on they have. They're like the football version of the X Factor - wank, but a lot of people who can't be bothered to seek out much better music or football watch it anyway. And others mock it because it so bollocks.

Most supported club on reddit only means it has most braindead americans who have nothing to do with football following it sometimes because their great grandpa lived in Manchester or something like that
