We absolutely have to buy a 9 and Paco Alcacer is a great option. He works hard, still young and is a way more established and mature player than Munir.
I just can't see us having another season without a replacement for Suarez.

Just look at Madrid, they got Morata, Asensio, Vazquez and the guy who scored a great goal against Chelsea a few weeks ago.

If we don't have great players on the bench then we give a better chance to teams like Madrid and Atleti to win la Liga in the long-run... which is what almost happened last season.

It will change with new Spanish La Liga TV rights distribution model starting this season. Valencia will earn close to 110m from TV deal for 2016/17 season. Previously Valencia only made an average of 40m from TV rights per season.

Its not for any club anymore as a result of FFP. That train of unlimited funds pouring into clubs has now passed.

Juve have Zaza and Manzku , Real have Morata , PSG no doubt will buy one next summer to replace Ibra, Bayern have Muller who can play striker, Atletico have Torres and have strengthened with Gaitian too, we need players like Alcacer to be able to compete in the long term.

I think Morata is the most overrated young striker there is. He scored a few shitty goals in the 2014/15 CL knockout stages and apparently he's a good striker now. He didn't do very much before or after that. He's not a good passer, a decent hold up player but he's not even a great finisher- his scoring record is nothing special as well. On top of it, his goals aren't very impressive either, many tap ins. He's not a game changer, those few big goals in 14/15 wont change my mind either.

That being said, I think Paco is overrated by quite a few of you as well. We are paying 30mil +5 for a player at the same level as Munir and 2 years older.
