Ousmane Dembélé

Well, seems like he believed in himself more than Barca believed in him. Fair play, man. We secured one of the future best players in the world, but we didn't know it. Seems like injuries affecting his consistent playing time were the main issues.

I'll never mention Dembele in the same sentence as Coutinho. Except this one time.

Could also be the fact that during his time here he was coached by Valverde, Setien, Koeman and Xavi.

For the most part useless managers who never put any importance on physical preparation and were average to worthless tactically.

He was playing all over the pitch yesterday.

+ pressing

Owes Lucho a lot and it’s clear he is Lucho’s most trusted man. Going by the freedom he is afforded and the pressing he puts in for Lucho.

Still has the bozo gene as his shots yesterday were rushed (that’s why he’ll always be rated lower than Mbappe just because Mbappe is a lethal finisher while being a worse footballer).
There's only 1 player in our team who can do that.
Pair that guy with a similar player as Barcola or Kvara, and move him to CF and see we dominate Europe.

Also Doue Young POTS... I mean be serious

There is no need to give all the awards to the winner, then the award literally makes no sense. I don't understand this practice

He scored 2 goals in the final... that's how these things go. It's just an award.

Xavi does deserve some credit for giving Dembele a personalized training plan though. It was a step in the right direction even though the big improvement this season overall came from Deco hiring Tous and Flick also following it through.

Dembele also improved a lot off the ball under Xavi, and took it to another level under Lucho.

He wasn't really a player that pressed much before that or moved into good positions as much as he does now.

Nothing will epitomise the general drop in footballing quality across the board than if this cat wins the Ballon d'Or. People will look at the winners list in decades to come and think his inclusion was some sort of IShowSpeed style poor joke.

Football quality is on its knees and bar Lamine nobody is worthy of a football fan's undivided attention.

He's most likely winning it (already has the UCL player of the tournament and Ligue 1 player of the year already), so Football quality may as well get to its knees already, or even lie fully down.

If you exclude Lamine, Doue is the best young player this season, hands down...
No one else under-21 comes close, if you are even minimally objective

It's UEFA and FIFA. France and French football are their darlings.

Except PSG to swipe all the awards. And don't take it so seriously.

Ballon is 100% Dembele even if Yamal is the better player.

I know the nations league and CWC doesn't mean much.

But if yamal cooks in the nations league and dembele flops at the CWC, yamal could edge.

But I think what will stop him for winning most is the votes will be split with raphinha

Will the first team starters actually play in the CWC? Isn't it like a glorified preseason thing?
